@ianvisits I do wonder what goes through people's heads when they decide to put signs like this up: 1. People engaging in antisocial behavouir don't give a toss if there is a sign anyway. 2. With people walking along the pavement isn't clearly visible. 3. People in 1. probably can't read.

@nsandi Hello your online system keeps logging me out saying I have used the back button even though I haven't. When will this be fixed?

Hello @jk_rowling, It's lovely that you liked my photo of Wild Court enough to put it on your social media profile, but it would have been equally lovely if you (or your office) had asked me first. I contacted your office but they haven't replied, so I will try here. Your success is based on the protection of the much loved IP you've created, so it'd be nice if your office extended the same courtesy to everyone else as well. Yes, it's just a snap of a photo that I took so I could write about the history of the alley (ianvisits.co.uk/articles/londo…), but someone in your office liked it enough to use it for your social media header - so lets chat please. Thanks

I mean my family have been on this land for at least 800 years, but I guess as they were merely the labourers who worked the land rather than the ones who managed to grab ownership for themselves, we don’t count? Perhaps if inheritance tax is deemed unfair by farmers we can instead have a wealth tax on all land, with the proceeds ring-fenced for a community buy out fund to allow local communities to own & control more land, as they do in Scotland?

"My family's been on this land for 375 years. I want to pass this down to my boys... you're taking that away from me... shame on you" Welsh farmer Gareth Wyn Jones challenges Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy on #PoliticsLive over inheritance tax changes bbc.in/494TIYh

There was a brief commotion when one of the planning officers pointed out that all councillors had been invited for a site visit several weeks ago, though none had attended (one councillor did later visit the site on their own before last night’s meeting) 2/2

@CNviolations Has anyone suggested how else they could have stopped him ramming cars and potentially harming the other officers in any other way? If the answer was to get out of his way how were they going to stop him harming the public?

@FIE_fencing Wow, there are more spectators in your average UK county open than this piece of sportswashing.

@PME_Politics @SamMarkWill @Sanny_Rudra @northernassist This is on the homepage of the 16-25 railcard site. It couldn’t be any clearer really? When you buy the railcard you sign up and agree to these terms. Agree it shouldn’t result in criminal record but that is typically last resort after excess fare offered/ignored or pfn issued

So, this afternoon I got home to find a lovely letter from @northernassist telling me about how they wanted to prosecute me for using the below ticket to travel on the specified route at a peak time. I paid £1.90 less than the fare they say I should have paid. A thread 🧵

@LNRailway the 7.47 LBX to EUS was delayed just shy of delay repay. To make it worse you have tickets inspectors waiting on the platform causing huge queues of people who just want to get to work and are late. Why not have them on the train so they can check during the journey?
