@rushicrypto Idk but something that I find interesting as a state employee of a red state is our pension plan is kicking ass. It’s not as generous as the Blue states but idk how they’re going to continue on since their tax base is running away. I am in my late 40’s & about to retire.

@cath_menarion I believe there's a small movement of highly educated people towards the church and everyone is so excited about this that no one is paying any mind to the bottom falling out with the poor and well into the middle class

I still have not seen any data that suggests this is a measurable movement in society. Of course, you can have a lot of parishes experiencing growth because of migration, resurgence of interest among disaffected faithful, etc. and even a small number statistically could lead 1/

@ShaunMorash he’s so unfunny, it’s actually impressive. Saddest part is he knows how unfunny he is & when Hollywood worked, they’d have pivoted him to bit acting roles. Instead, he’s stuck lumbering through an obviously sub-mediocre career while drinking himself to death slowly…in public

Whatever the court case, watching someone slammed to ground & ignored in distress is disturbing. Being trans isn’t a free pass, but it’s a reality needing proper handling esp. when requesting female officer for safety & dignity. Contempt of court shouldn’t mean excessive force. Due process applies to all.

Transgender attorney begs for a female police officer after getting tackled to the ground before being jailed for contempt. Oklahoma attorney Rob Hopkins was caught on camera arguing with the judge. “I’m a transgender attorney practicing all over the state!” The argument continued to escalate before the judge called in officers who then took Hopkins to the ground. Hopkins was heard screaming “I can’t breathe” and begging for a female officer. Hopkins was reportedly held on a $25,000 bond.

I can't wrap my head around men who do this. When I've been in nature with women, even the ones I have zero romantic entanglements with, I've always understood it as an unspoken but sacred fact that I am there for protection if anything goes awry. Deserting a woman in the middle of nowhere is so vile it offends my deepest conceptions of what it even means to be a man.
