What the President said yesterday was disturbing. I’m relieved he held off on striking civilian infrastructure, but the fact of the matter is that no part of the war has helped the American people in any way.

The cycle never changes. Donald Trump creates a crisis, tells you he solved it, reverses course, and then declares victory. The ceasefire was a complete fiction. While the White House announced one, missiles were still flying across Israel, Iran, and Lebanon. Reality doesn’t match the headline. The White House was forced to backtrack today because the proposed “10-point deal” from Iran was a disaster that would let them enrich uranium, fund proxies like Hezbollah, maintain leverage over the Strait of Hormuz, and get sanctions relief. Even top allies like Mark Levin and Larry Kudlow are calling it a disaster. Let’s be honest about how we got here: there was never an imminent threat to the U.S. Now we’re stuck in it, negotiating from a weakened position.

This war and the entire energy crisis that stems from it were provoked by the current administration. It is a conflict that brings absolutely no benefit to the American people. Meanwhile, billions of taxpayer dollars are being wasted without generating any return for American citizens. It is unacceptable that such irresponsibility continues.
