@Pointer_Chaser You missed the funniest thing online possibly ever
English

@Gh0stofDrLange @jerryteixeira @Archer83Able This has nothing to do with Iran, at all.
The Air Force has wanted to retire them for years. The Army and especially the Marines love them for CAS, and the Air Force never adopted another plane to fill the same role.

A10 is getting to is max airframe lifespan. 2026 was the date for many to be retired due to it's life cycle. Yet we have extended it lifespan to 2029. In aviation that is very telling to our desperation to the situation. It will become critical for it's maintenance to be much more extensive to keep it operating. Excuse my lack of confidence in this move. We have lost critical radar, so we rely on these older models to return. Reminds me of the Korean War.
English

@Gh0stofDrLange @Archer83Able They fly over my house every day.
They are not in any way, retired.
English

@Archer83Able We are so low on missiles we have to unretire aircraft that use conventional ammo.
English

@BeeTee2887 Oh yeah. This POV video is a mid engine racer, but captures the raw experience of an air cooled flat 6 Porsche with that manual steering like nothing I've seen. Car is ~55 years old and still thrilling.

@Pointer_Chaser I learned on a 1979 Chevy S10, 4 speed. Also no power steering, but it was way more of a hassle than the Porsche lol
English

This is like debating which is better, a brand new Tesla or a 1984 Porsche 911.
The Tesla is cool and has a lot of sweet gadgets and fun tools to take advantage of. It's a great car.
But the Porsche is a total experience. Rear wheel, manual transmission, no self driving, hell it doesn't even have power steering. It sounds way better, even if it drives way worse. When you punch it out of the gas station parking lot and kick out the ass while ripping it into 2nd gear, and kept in control without lifting, you've earned something.

This guy is training in the home gym of the future. Incredibly compact with insane amounts of versatility.

@BeeTee2887 A roommate had a 3 on the tree Ford, but I don't think I've ever driven one.
I've had that racing H 5, then regular 4, 5, and 6.
Best shifter, I think, was a 2002 MX5 Miata with a short throw, close ratio 6. Shifted with a wrist flick.

@BeeTee2887 I don't drive my 5 speed, when I'm driving my 6 speed.
Automatic transmissions are the work of Satan.
I learned to drive manual on a 1972 914, with the old Racing H pattern. I still think that configuration has its merits.
English

@Pointer_Chaser I drove 5-speeds all throughout my 20s—don’t now for obvious reasons—and my buddy asked me to show him how. He bought an ‘84 Porsche but couldn’t drive it. The funniest car I’ve ever driven, hands down. And yeah, steering was not problem at all.
English

@paulb3rd Heavy low rep compound lifts, I notice.
High rep sets used by many bodybuilders? Not so much.
That may be why I also don't find glucose to be important, but others do.
5 reps is about where the primary energy system shifts from PC to glycogen, at least in theory.
English

@TonyLaneNV Look. I drive 900 miles each way to avoid the hell that is flying in 2026.
It seems like it might have been easy enough. But where does this end?
I'm not giving up my aisle seat for anyone. My shoulders don't fit in their goddamn seats now.

THIS IS WILD…
Passenger says United denied a simple request that could literally save their life.
Severe peanut allergy.
One exposure = possible fatal reaction.
All they asked for?
A small buffer zone on the plane.
Instead… they were told to basically deal with it and “email the company.”
On a packed flight where people are eating inches away…
That’s not a minor issue.
That’s life or death.
Do airlines have a responsibility here… or is this asking too much? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

@CNviolations Can't think of much, at least since East Germany reunited with the West.
English

@JamesDueck What about >150 IQ being free of 130 IQ leads who feel threatened by them? We need at least a few of them.
With how much effort people a bit above the middle of the bell curve, put into trying to hold back people to their right, it's a wonder humanity has gotten where we have.
English

@AntiWokeMemes Yes.
One or two of some sentimental value, can be fine. But more just for the hell of it? Not a plus.
English

@Type07Safety For some reason, that picture looks exactly like I imagined it would.
English

@MarketPalmer_ They don't teach any of that stuff any more.
Students are taking remedial algebra at prestigious universities.
I don't know what the hell they do teach.
English

@joeyyochheim And what you eat can have a profound impact on your hunger throughout the day.
You can lose weight on 1500 calories of pasta, but man it will suck.
English

@Bitcoin_Teddy Show me someone younger than the Silent Generation who didn't have roommates at 22.
English

@NateSzn__ @fwdaniels Same goes for other major compund lifts.
Guy gets his squat to 500x10. Switches to machines due to some injuries. Says he'd still squat if he could but can't.
Influencer: his legs are huge and he doesn't do any squats! You shouldn't either!
That guy's name is Dorian Yates.
English

@fwdaniels Bench press is not a waste of time.
Y’all use the basics to grow your chest then you get big and start h@ting the basics
English

@JamesRuport @rreiber1 @DoctorTro Nobody said you were going to die soon from it.
It's just stupid.
Lots of things are stupid, but not fatal.
I eat that much beef, too.
Why are you afraid of milk fat?
English

@Pointer_Chaser @rreiber1 @DoctorTro Yes I’m gonna die from drinking almost a gallon of 2% raw milk a week and 5-8 oz oz of beef a day. Can almost gaurentee my hormones are better. 6 week progression.
