Recognize this Burglary Suspect? Few things are scarier than learning a stranger broke into your home, especially when you were there asleep. But that’s what happened recently to some young women in our community, and it’s why we’re sharing these surveillance photos today to identify the suspect. This unknown man had tried to enter the home in the 1100 block of Grandview Avenue unsuccessfully several times this month before finally getting inside after finding the door ajar during one such attempt. The break-in occurred just before 2 a.m. and the women inside only found out when they watched their camera the next day. The suspect is thought to have used an adjacent parking lot to gain access to the home by climbing into the back and side yards and then entering through the door. He is described as a possibly Latino male, approximately 5’8” tall, in his 30’s with dark hair, a moustache and goatee. He was ordered into the burn pits in 2007 by a superior officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom—2/3 Fox Company, Kaneohe Bay. Because the trash wasn’t sorted, they sent a Lance Corporal into a toxic cesspool. That exposure is what killed him. And they still refuse to take responsibility. The day after he died, they made their announcement. Because they waited, my children were stripped of the combat-related benefits their father earned with his life. And this is exactly why the Major Richard Star Act matters. Because right now—even when a service member is medically retired— the system still finds ways to deny, delay, or offset the very benefits they earned through combat. My son is a Type 1 diabetic. He does not have insulin coverage. I gave up everything—my career, my health, our home— and spent 141 days at his bedside so he wouldn’t die alone. We built a home for him to come back to. A home he promised our boys they would never have to leave. Now we are at risk of losing it. This is not what was promised. This is what failure looks like. Pass the Major Richard Star Act. During my last year in the Marine Corps I extended to go on the 32nd MEU. We were supposed to deploy on a ship, but the flight deck destroyed our aircraft engines when our jets were flown out ahead of us. That ended any deployment, but we still had to get those jets off. I remember feeling insulted that I wasn't included, because I was the link between the Navy and Marine Corps when it came to acquiring what we needed to get the planes back to land. At the same time, I was also thrilled, because it meant that instead of spending 2–3 weeks at sea, I would be able to party it up on Okinawa. That night, as I walked to the liquor store on base, my Sgt. Major and Master Sgt. pulled up. “Get your ass in the car.” As they drove me to the ship, I complained the whole way, and didn't stop complaining for the two weeks we were on there. All this to say, imagine if you were some big-time Iranian military leader. Israel has killed everyone around you, and you're thinking maybe you dodged it. Maybe you're the lucky one. Maybe you get to stay back. Then the car pulls up. “Get your ass in the car.”

NEW: Images from 3 surveillance cameras at Nancy Guthrie's home -- one on a fence in the yard with a view back of the house/swimming pool area; one with coverage of the driveway/garage door; and the one with front door footage -- have been reviewed by investigators in the abduction case. They combed back through weeks prior to Guthrie's disappearance and see family members, landscapers and pool maintenance workers but nothing that appeared suspicious or of significance to investigators, sources told @CBSNews. No images reviewed showed the suspect captured on the front door camera. Investigators continue to track down leads and tips, CBS's Patty Milton reports.
