@ThePaddyArms @LUFC Dont think the membership comes with a guarantee. Maybe just got lucky. Far too much demand for limited number off tickets and club(s) expolit that. Be interesting to see if they offer more season tickets when capacity gets more or just milk more for full price + membership

@Steve_ALAW @LUFC Thing is I know 3 new members this year and each one won the first raffle they entered, might be a coincidence but also they might have to guarantee every member at least one game

@VeryBrexitProbs @Earcom2 To claim that the British would be speaking German if the septic’s hadn’t turned up is pure fantasy…. Everyone knows you’ll never get the Brits to speak another language 😀

Very Brexit Problems
Very Brexit Problems@VeryBrexitProbs·
If I had a pound for every time a MAGA account bellowed these mad MAGA myths me, I could fund European defence myself. 1. "Europe would be conquered in a week without America" Europe has 1.7 million troops, 515 nuclear warheads, five aircraft carriers and 1,400 combat jets. Russia couldn't take 20% of Ukraine in four years with a million soldiers. But sure, a week. 2. "Europeans live in no-go zones run by Sharia law" The "no-go zones" are normal neighbourhoods with kebab shops. The most dangerous thing about them is the parking. 3. "Europeans have no freedom of speech" Europeans can criticise their governments, protest in the streets and mock their leaders on live TV without getting tear-gassed or shot. In America, immigration agents check your social media, ICE arrests people for their opinions and deports them without trial. "Free speech", American style. 4. "Europeans pay 60% tax and get nothing for it" Europeans pay tax and get free healthcare, subsidised university, a year of paid parental leave, 5 weeks holiday and a pension they can actually live on. Americans pay tax and get aircraft carriers. 5. "Europe has open borders and anyone can walk in" The EU's border agency Frontex has 10,000 guards and some of the strictest visa requirements on earth. The difference is Europe doesn't cage children on camera to win votes 6. "Europe would be speaking German without America" The British Empire fought Germany for over two years before America joined. The Soviet Union lost 8.7 million soldiers fighting Hitler. The French Resistance ran the intelligence network that made D-Day possible. America showed up in Dec 1941. The war started in 1939. Every single one of these is repeated daily by people who've never owned a passport and likely never will.

@CraigMurrayOrg So Craig, remind me again how many Argentinian sailors were picked up from the "General Belgrano" by the British submarine that sunk it while it was sailing away from the Malvinas?

Despite there being no threat of any kind, the US submarine sailed away with no attempt to pick up survivors, leaving them to drown. Breaking the first and holiest unwritten law amongst mariners.
MintPress News@MintPressNews

US Submarine Attacks An Iranian Frigate Uninvolved In The War 148 Iranian sailors are now missing in the surprise attack, in Intl Waters, thousands of kilometres from Iran. A rather embarrassing cowardly attack for the world’s most powerful military to claim as a victory.

@MikScarlet @WallaceUofE @beccajiggens @DRDisabilityReb Seems to me and im a cynical yorkshireman that venues insisting on nimbus cards are using this as a get out of jail free card from making decisons on adjustments. Shame really cos the card can make things simpler for many as long as non card holders can also access tickets

@WallaceUofE @beccajiggens @DRDisabilityReb I know the team behind nimbus & they aren't about the money. I think it's more about venues wanting an easy way of doing access. It's about the government not enforcing the law & making venues properly accessible. Wouldn't need cards if it was.

@mostly_sleepy @jacwyc @Chuffin_ell quite simple really, its for the individual to state what adjustments they need. Then for the venue to accomodate those requirements or have a LEGALLY justifiable reason not to. No card, no 3rd party decision, individual choice. We are all different and have differing needs.

@jacwyc @Chuffin_ell Nimbus are not medical or an authority yet are judge and jury of what adjustment a person needs. It's against the Equality Act for venues to require a specific card. It was a fair system when these venues allowed individual choice of what proof, and after gig ticket purchase.

We could’ve rung the venue. Now we have to justify when we’re going. That’s not access. 🧶

@Chuffin_ell @KnowsleySafari All of our 'guests with a registered disability' ... WTF is that register then, ive been paraplegic 40yrs and never 'registered' it. No wonder they think NIMBUS is some kind of official body. Not having a NIMBUS card does not trump complying with the law

For clarity @KnowsleySafari Nimbus Disability is a private company, not a statutory body. There’s been no change in law removing PIP, DLA or Carer’s Allowance as valid evidence Why have you chosen to refuse all other evidence & outsource access decisions to a single provider?🧶

@Chuffin_ell A 3rd party organisation has no authority to decide what reasonable adjustments you 'qualify' for. All this does is allow service providers to abdicate THEIR responsibility to provide RA when requested from a person with a disability. What next?

….@LightwaterValley Requiring disabled people to apply in advance via Nimbus, with no same-day access, risks breaching the Equality Act by making reasonable adjustments conditional on approval. Equality is a legal duty — not something disabled people should have to apply for.

@Chuffin_ell 🤔🤔🤔 where in the Equality Act does it say a private organisation must determine what adjustments you need BEFORE providing a service you are lefally entitled to ... ill wait

A system where non-disabled people book instantly, while disabled people must apply, disclose personal information, and wait days to be “considered” during time-limited ticket sales, creates a foreseeable disadvantage That is not a reasonable adjustment #EqualityAct #NimbusCard
