This year Kit passed $50M ARR. @danputt has been my coach for six years of that journey.
In this episode, we cover:
- How confidence makes a real difference
- How to make hard decisions
- Strategies that got us there

@nathanbarry Six years, $50M ARR, and the transformation that matters most: You learned to take your seat as a leader. Clear, caring, direct, and connected to your why -you. From performing to being. Proud of you, my friend. Thanks for the trust!

@aymanalabdul It's a privilege to be your copilot (or dials?), Ayman. The magic is all you, man. Keep flying!

Just had a quick impromptu coaching call with my coach @danputt
The amount of clarity he gave me in just 10 minutes is staggering
He’s truly a magician at what he does
If you’re a CEO operating without a coach, you’re a pilot without dials

@warrenpeace77 @aymanalabdul @girdley It doesn’t have to be. It can be as simple as just naming the color, but that act itself helps everyone be present and settle in.

@aymanalabdul @girdley @danputt Is this a red/green/yellow check-in on a personal level? Please elaborate.

@khemaridh @jonnym1ller @Camp4 Great to hang with you all! And you should do more Boulder trips @khemaridh.
English

@khemaridh Love this.
My mom was a straight A student, always followed the rules and worked hard to never rock the boat. In her final weeks she said to me “don’t waste your time worrying about being good.” I will never forget the certainty in her voice. Wise words.

@MaddenCM @matchnode @noahkagan Thanks so much Chris. Grateful to call you a friend and partner. You certainly have a part of that journey and amazing to see your journey of growth as well. We have come a long way from Costa Rica!
English

Proud to have @danputt as a @matchnode co founder and more importantly as a friend. This conversation with @noahkagan exemplifies so much of the growth that I've witnessed in him (them) and that I continue to aspire to:

I loved having @noahkagan on the Reboot podcast where we go way back to our first interactions, Noah's growth as a leader and how he shows up as CEO today. It's a great conversation.
It's been awesome to watch Noah & team grow at @AppSumo. Congrats on the book @noahkagan!
RebootHQ@RebootHQ
🎙️ LIVE NOW @danputt sits down with @noahkagan, CEO of @appsumo and author of the Million Dollar Weekend. The pair discuss the benefits of seeking honest feedback, empowering underdogs in business, and learning to like (and trust) yourself. Listen now: buff.ly/49aMErJ

Who's playing Chess when everyone else is playing Checkers...?
@nathanbarry predicts @SahilBloom's $50M/year agency business:
English

@FoundersPodcast This is a fantastic list. This is one I have seen to be true time and time again (though you don’t have to be older to get there):
“8. Older entrepreneurs are superior because they know themselves better and build a business suited to their authentic self. ”
English

15 lessons I’ve learned (and relearned) in the last year:
1. You should believe your opinion is greater than the opinions of every other person around you.
2. You can find an edge by thinking about your industry more than anyone else.
3. You should accustom yourself to a large work load.
4. The world runs on relationships.
5. Make yourself easy to interface with.
Steve Jobs did this in just 3 words: Insanely great products
6. Mute the world and then build your own.
7. There are two types of people:
those that don’t understand the size of the internet and those that *know* they don’t understand the size of the internet.
(From my friend @george__mack )
8. Older entrepreneurs are superior because they know themselves better and build a business suited to their authentic self.
(I can’t prove this but I believe it)
9. There are few geniuses.
10.Intelligence can be distilled down to two things:
(1) Are you able to figure out what you *truly* want in life? (2) Were you smart enough to get it? (From @naval )
11. The root cause of all your problems is that you haven’t found your life’s work yet. Once you do most questions disappear.
12.The Mind of Napoleon helped me realize I was engaged in self sabotage.
(You have to listen to the latest episode of Invest Like The Best with @patrick_oshag to understand this one)
13.Ambitious people need a supportive spouse or no spouse at all.
14.Learning from history is a form of leverage.
Spending with both Sam Zell and Charlie Munger made me realize that they knew more about business history than I do — and it’s my job!
15.Be indifferent to being misunderstood.
These lessons were prompted by my latest conversation with @patrick_oshag on Invest Like The Best #343
We discussed what I’ve learned in the last year from (1) reading another 60 biographies and (2) Founders growing by 50x
I hope you listen to and get value from our conversation!

@Camp4 An absolutely incredible experience that was exquisitely planned by @Camp4 with an amazing group of folks. If you have a chance to go to one of his events, do it (even if the type 2 fun option is a bit scary).
And a special shoutout to my climbing partner @bradford_hardin

So, yeah mouth taping works
Sleep improved by 24% over last week
Thanks to @FitFounder for the push

@msg @ShaneMac Shane!! Can you have someone from your sales team call me RE: @gosquaredaway?
My friend is both (1) famous online and (2) annoyingly strict and impatient. Not sure if you like those clients but trying to help him out
