Too many young people are resenting Boomers, claiming that Boomers had it " easy " financially in their youth. Here are a few fun facts about growing up Boomer. 1. Almost everyone grew up with one bathroom. Mom, Dad and all 3-6 siblings. 2. If you did get to take a vacation, you drove. With no air conditioning. No cup holders. No iPads. Just black vinyl seats and bologna sandwiches. 3. There were no club sports. No Parks and Rec activities. Summer camp was for rich kids. Get yourself a bike, a stick and a few friends. If you were bored, you laid in the grass and looked at clouds. 4. You ate what was served. Even if it was chicken livers. No DoorDash, no backup Totino's rolls. 5. No AP classes, no PSEO, no "fun" elective. They assigned you to a class. You went. You did what they asked. Or else. 6. Unless you had rich parents, you had a nice VFW wedding. Maybe rent a room at a modest hotel. 7. Most Boomers got their first pedi and mani in their 50s (when their feet got farther away). We didn't even know people got massages in real life, only in Hollywood. 8. You packed your own lunch for decades. 9. No one knew what red light therapy was, a facial, a spa day, or a cold plunge. Your gym was the YMCA. Usually in a rather old building. 10. We grew up with 18 percent inflation, 14 percent mortgage rates, 3 million continuing unemployment claims, and 200 other applicants competing for the same job. Now, this is not to say Millenials and Gen Z have it easy or don't face problems. It's just to say, nobody has it easy or doesn't face problems. My only hope, as my mom would say, is I live long enough to see my kids' kids complain about how easy they had it!

@jeremykauffman Kind of agree. Still not sure on the entire Iran thing. I could argue both sides of that issue. If Massie could have not been hostile towards Trump, and Trump towards him, they could have been great allies. But alas, that ship has sailed.

BREAKING NEWS!!! According to the @nytimes The Commissioner of the @MLB Rob Manfred is pushing to give #mlb hitters 4 strikes instead of 3 in an effort to create more offense. Rob has already changed the entire fabric of our National Pastime with his rule changes sponsored by @DraftKings and he won’t stop until it’s unrecognizable! #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @iamrags @hittingguru7 @low_and_outside @WesClements22 @SalMarinello @AMBS_Kernan @MLBNetwork

@CoachMarcusHill Me thinks the KBO might want to recalibrate their system. The cross ups not withstanding, some of those were ridiculous. You could see how reluctantly and sheepishly the umpires were calling those strikes. But our ABS is 100% correct!???

This is an absolute trash list. First and foremost Les Claypool should have the number two spot. Number one remains. Paul McCartney does not deserve a mention in any top 10 list of bass players.

@JeffSchaffer13 100% true! And assuming that the zone shown is totally accurate. Many times the top of the zone is shown at waist level or sometimes lower. The whole thing is a dumpster fire.

Something I've noticed with this ABS horse manure is that they are using a 2D zone to determine pitch location. The zone is and should be 3D. In at least one video I've seen a ball called low where the 2D zone was at the back... Meaning a couple inches forward, it's a strike!

3/29 🤔’s from Oceans Edge Key West 🌅🏝️🌊🎣 Some thoughts that helped me in leading others….. Clarify Expectations and Hold People Accountable   Everyone on your team needs to have clear expectations of what success looks like in their role.    Don’t assume people know expectations and deadlines–take time to verify you are both on the same page. Your goal is to set them up for success when you follow up because you want to catch them doing well so you can recognize them for doing a good job.    ALSO, it’s more challenging to hold people accountable if you have first verified that expectations were clear.   And you have to hold people accountable if you are a leader. Nothing will crush your culture faster than having your all-stars realize they are getting treated the same as the people on your team who are consistently late and missing deadlines. Make a difference today Love Clint

@sow413 20 +years ago,I visited Pearl Harbor.I was stunned at the number of Japanese people that were there, and even more so by the many Japanese that came over to me,just a random American guy,to apologize for what their country did many years prior. And we saw many cry at the memorial.

To my American friends, I want to speak from the heart, because this moment truly moved me as a Japanese citizen. When President Trump made that Pearl Harbor joke, it wasn’t just humor to us. It felt like a weight I’d carried my whole life was suddenly lifted. My chest tightened, and honestly, tears came close. For 80 long years, we Japanese have lived under a heavy shadow — the constant expectation to apologize, to reflect, to stay in “guilt mode.” Even though we’re the closest of allies, that old wound never fully healed. We felt bound by the past, by the Constitution America helped write for us, always a little smaller, always needing to prove we were sorry enough. But in that single joke, Trump did something powerful. He turned a painful history into a shared laugh between equals. It was like he was saying: “Hey, it was a long time ago. We’re good. Let’s move forward — as brothers.” No more endless atonement. No more living in the shadow of being the “former enemy.” The curse broke. Japan feels free to stand tall again. Right now, cherry blossoms are blooming beautifully all across Japan. 🌸 This spring, the sakura feels like a perfect symbol — a fresh beginning. Not two nations stuck in old roles, but true equals, proud brothers, shoulder to shoulder, ready to build the future together. To the American people: We don’t want to be subordinates forever. We want to be your real partners — strong, proud, and loyal. The kind of allies who ride or die together. Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you, America. The strongest alliance in the world is rising again — as equals, as brothers, forever. #PhoenixRising 🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸🌸

@sigg20 @Jimfrombaseball Umpired a couple of Bouton's games when he pitched in the Tri-state semi pro league in NY/CT. His knuckleball was still effective in his late 50's.

@atensnut You would think that the airlines would be putting huge pressure on congress to fix this. I am sure that a large part of the flying public may rethink taking a plane with the uncertainty. Especially on shorter flights where driving may be an alternative.

@PitchingNinja Is no one getting the message that umpiring is very hard? A lot of these challenges are reversing calls that miss by a fraction of an inch, or catch the zone by a similar amount on a pitch that has movement and at 95MPH.It is amazing how good these guys are.

@TRHLofficial 100% They need a senate leader with a pair. Someone like Rick Scott maybe? Schumer is an idiot and we need someone to counter his nonsense, not cave.

I don’t know why people say that John Thune has to try to please everybody as the majority leader. Chuck Schumer sure as shit didn’t try to please everybody as the majority leader. The compromises only go one way.

@Riley_Gaines_ Or go back to what health insurance was originally and worked great! Major Medical, it was cheap and you paid the routine doctors visits and scripts. Insurance was only for Major injuries and illnesses, and childbirth. Easiest way to bring down prices.

6 months after our baby was born, we’re still getting random unexplained bills from the hospital. I call to ask what they’re for & they dont know. They charge whatever they want because they know people pay it. Contact your elected officials & demand hospital price transparency. No more mystery bills. cmpi.org/in-the-news/fi…

American is a healthy 28 year old, he decided to skip paying for health insurance this year because the cheapest plan was $900 per month with a high deductible He had to spend 2 nights in the ER without insurance, he breaks down the bill “This is my receipt from spending 2 days in the hospital: - It totaled about $24,000 - My CT scan alone was $8,300 - Laboratory, 6,000 - IV therapy, $1,020, $4,000 in total And while $24,000 seems like a lot of money, let me show you something. This is what I'm actually paying, $2,478 because when you don't have insurance, these hospitals give you a discount. They discounted $22,000 off of this bill” “But if I had insurance, I wouldn't have gotten that discount. So it would've been a $24,000 bill billed to my insurance, and then my insurance would've said, ‘Hey, you have a $5,000 deductible. You need to pay $5,000 for this last emergency room visit.’ Then you tack on the $900 a month that I'd be paying for that insurance. I'd be paying $20K this year for healthcare. So the craziest part about this is even if I have another hospital visit, by the end of this year, I'm still gonna be paying less than I would if I had insurance. At minimum, my cost for healthcare this year would've been $20,000 with insurance. Right now I'm at $2,400.” US Health Insurance is a scam
