@kelvinbuildss Distribution — hands down. Building the product is only half the battle. Getting it in front of the right people is where most founders get stuck. That is exactly what we are solving at flytradr.com

I was wrong about something early in the build. I thought people would immediately see the value of automation. They didn't. Because the job search, to many people, is supposed to be hard. Learned: lead with the outcome, not the automation. "You deserve to stop spending 3 hours a day on this" lands differently.

@DmitryBBLV Couldn't agree more. But I must say, reddit is not easy to crack. Navigating community rules and mod restrictions took me months.

@flytradr_guy Exactly. Reddit rewards expertise, not promotion. The best marketing post often doesn't look like marketing at all, it just solves someone's problem

The most underrated growth channel for indie apps right now: Reddit. Not paid ads. Not cold outreach. Reddit. Three things that work: - Answer real questions in niche subreddits (no pitch, just help) - Post a "I built this" in r/SideProject or r/IMadeThis - Document your build journey in r/startups or r/indiehackers Ads cost money. Reddit costs time. And time pays compounding returns. What's the most unexpected growth channel that's worked for you?

Browser use is one of those features that sounds small until you see someone ship a full workflow in 30 seconds with it. The gap between CLI and seeing your agent actually navigate a page is massive. Were doing similar things with trading data flows and its a game changer for iteration speed.

codex browser-use is quickly becoming a differentiator. a feature that makes it impossible to keep using claude code cli.

@shubh19 both happened. 2021 overhiring inflated headcount, 2023 ai made those roles actually redundant. the overlap is the pain. building a product solo with ai that wouldve taken 5 people 2 years ago. the math changed on both sides

@RoyInProgress @mal_shaik the framing misses something. ai didnt replace craft, it shifted who can build. im a noncoder shipping a fintech product because ai handles the parts i physically couldnt. the real divide isnt slop vs craft, its builders vs gatekeepers. the craft matters more now not less

imagine working your whole life to master the craft of coding only to get replaced by swarms of ai slop engineers burning through an oceans worth of tokens you then get an ai slop generated email from your ceo basically saying "its not you its me" then you complain to your ai slop girlfriend on discord at 3am and scroll ai slop reels to drown your sorrow just imagine :)

@pmarca first decade with no users and you kept going. thats the part nobody talks about. im 8 months into building a trading tool with almost zero traction but the product keeps getting better because the one guy using it daily is me. shipping to crickets > shipping nothing

Almost shipped a feature that would have broken live trading for every FlyTradr user. It let you change risk settings mid-strategy. Problem: open positions would run on diferent logic than new entries. Caught it by explaining the code out loud to myself. Building solo means youre your own code review.

Thinking about getting more engaged on X. I run an industrial distribution business in the Tri-State area. We sell to manufacturers, construction, etc. Not many of us talking online anymore, so I figured I'd start. Would love to connect with more folks who are in similar spaces.

@Codie_Sanchez Cash gives you optionality. Equity is a lottery ticket with terms written by the other side. Took me way too long to learn this building FlyTradr. Revenue first, dilution last.

A hill I'll die on: Most startup equity is worthless. You should optimize for making more money, then investing in multiple deals. The likelihood you're at a unicorn and don't get diluted to death is basically 0%.
