Delhi: Joint Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Kunal Satyarthi says, "This is a good initiative, as urban areas in the country are expanding very rapidly. When agricultural land is converted for urban use, maintaining proper records becomes very difficult. The effort is to bring together all available data, such as registration deeds held by citizens, property tax records paid by citizens, and land records maintained in many cities and states. The aim is to consolidate this information and integrate all the data available with the government, which is currently held across different offices..."

Ground Truthing Begins in Puducherry Shri N.
