Here is why they have German plates: Tesla FSD Supervised demo vehicles in Denmark (and other European countries like Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland) have German license plates with "LOS" (Landsberg am Lech, Bavaria) because the cars are centrally registered and prepared in Germany. This simplifies logistics: Tesla manages the fleet from Germany and transports them to neighboring countries for demos. German plates are allowed temporarily in the EU, including Denmark.

So I got my FSD demo drive in Ribe, Denmark today, and it blew my mind how smooth and human-like the Model 3 drove. Correction: it drives better and smoother than a human. I consider myself a pretty good/average driver, but this level of smoothness is beyond imagination. I thought I was prepared after watching hours of FSD content from @wholemars, @ryanjaycowan, @AIDRIVR, and @blktsla, but experiencing it in person is something else. I told the Tesla employee multiple times that if I weren’t looking at him, I would have said he’s a damn good driver 😂. We first drove to a school parking lot next to a shopping centre, then to an industrial area before returning to the Tesla Center. The drive was so good that I didn’t record much because it’s kinda boring in a good way, but below are two clips without sound. At one point, we reached a train crossing that the Tesla handled very well, though not without one minor intervention, which was harmless. To spoil it: once the barriers lifted, the flashing lights continued, and people around us started driving (bad human behavior), while the Tesla patiently waited. But when the flashing stopped, the Tesla didn’t proceed immediately and needed a light push on the accelerator. I guess it was due to poor visibility of the light from sun glare. This was the only time the employee intervened. On countless roundabouts and in heavy traffic, the car performed flawlessly. With this, there’s really no need to keep FSD off European roads. Regulators and governments need to accept that FSD is a milestone in human history that turns sci-fi into reality. We’re there with autonomous driving, even supervised, thanks to the great engineers at @Tesla and @Tesla_AI. I really hope we’ll see a wide rollout soon after RDW has tested it. I can’t wait to get FSD in 2026, fingers crossed for Q1. I’m still amazed and just want to keep driving with it 🥲. Autopilot feels so 1900s compared to FSD.
