@PCreighton1 @MicrophoneMilo It’s not just Yordan. Ryan plays for a small market team, zero pressure, and pitches well when it doesn’t matter. Agree that he’s better than Burrows but for my dime I’d go get someone else.
English

@MicrophoneMilo @strohsguy Yordan kills him, but no one else has Yordan.
English

@TyTalksBaseball It’s not gonna take two top 100 MLB prospects for 1/2 year of Skubal at his salary. Probably Meyer, Pecko and Janek. If Tigers pick up the $16M owed then a top 100 prospect.
English

Why do you want us to not have Xavier Neyens & Kevin Alvarez?
Michael Schwab@michaelschwab13
Astros are going to win the World Series when they get Skubal
English

@JeremyIKaufman Dubon was better than everyone not named Yordan or Cam last year but his first half this year is a fluke. He will come back down to earth soon.
English

@SleeperAstros No team is going to give them two top 100 MLB prospects for 1/2 year.
Maybe not even 1. The guy is good but a bit of damaged goods.
English

At least one of Neyens or Alvarez if not both in my opinion
The ❌ongoose - #80@Mon600se1
@SleeperAstros @BNightengale What would a deal for skubal look like for astros
English

This could be the pathway to Willson Contreras getting the recognition he deserves 🙏

News: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will NOT be participating in the All-Star Game: "very grateful to everyone who voted for me.. but at this time, very respectfully I'm declining to go." Guerrero, who's dealt with discomfort in his back, will rest up the back and prepare for 2nd half.
English

@ellis21810 @KutterIsKing Let me know when Judge doesn’t play like crap in the playoffs or he wins a World Series
English

@brianmctaggart A bunch of 4th and 5th ( or AAA) outfielders. Nothing done in the offseason. Nothing will be done. Other than waiver wire pickups.
English

Jake Meyers has been entrenched as the starter in CF for the Astros for the past four years, but a woeful season at the plate have landed him in Triple-A as part of the Astros' roster shakeup.

English

Another shakeup for the Astros outfield, which has the lowest on-base percentage in baseball and saw its Opening Day center fielder and left fielder demoted on Saturday - nytimes.com/athletic/74218…
English

@TheAstrosLocker You might get a minor league lottery ticket. I doubt he is worth even a low leverage major league reliever. If Dana was smart (not) he would have unloaded in the offseason. Maybe he would have got something then.
English

@jfos1222 @brianmctaggart You hope they’ll be off the team. The Astros have gaping holes in CF and LF, and even RF is more hope than performance.
English

@strohsguy @brianmctaggart Wade is a has been. Trammel gets way too many opportunities. Both will be off team by spring
English

@JeremyIKaufman Sad but true. None of these guys amount to anything other than a 4th/5th/AAAA outfielder. We are missing two major league starting OF and the other one Cam Smith has talent but learning on the job rather than in AA/AAA.
English

So a platoon of Trammell/Matthews in CF and Wade Jr./Dezenzo in LF moving forward.
Chandler Rome@Chandler_Rome
The Astros optioned Jake Meyers and Joey Loperfido to Triple-A Sugar Land. Zach Dezenzo and LaMonte Wade Jr. replace them on the 26-man roster
English

@DDelgattoNFL @JacobBarzilla Matthews can hold his own in CF and has a much better arm. Also more power than Jake, but also strikes out a bunch. This is just Dana giving one of his prize draftees more of a chance. Meyers will be traded for a reliever is my guess.
English

@JacobBarzilla Meyers is by far the better glove and every one in the MLB knows that lol
English

@lee_man02 @brianmctaggart They’re all about the same. Wade is a better veteran presence and was always clutch with the Giants. They’re probably hoping he has something left. If he doesn’t then Loperfido or Cole ( whomever is hot) will be back up.
