Definitely understand that's a mindset many (myself included) can fall to. Then I look at the stark differences between these 2 albums and the feel couldn't be more obvious. Hell, look at the cover. And I actually liked the 2nd album from the UMCs. This was a lot of acts by 94

One of my favourite hip-hop production things is when the drums drop out for a few bars and instead of coming back in on the kick in the first bar, they come in on the final snare in the preceding bar. Lovely stuff, never gets old. 10/10.

Sear was one of the greatest people to be around, I will never forget how he made me laugh on our tour together. Our time on @Shade45 together was always some of my favorite interviews. He made the world a better place and I’m gonna seriously miss that. Rest in peace Lil Trey aka @LordSear!!!

For anyone who only knew Lord Sear from Shade 45 , here's the full picture of who hip-hop just lost: Born Steve Watson. New York City, 1971. Started as touring DJ for rapper Kurious. Became a core member of the Stretch & Bobbito Show on WKCR , the show that first aired Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, and Wu-Tang. Toured the world on Eminem's Anger Management Tour. Anchored Shade 45 for 20+ years since its 2004 launch. Voiced characters in Grand Theft Auto. He didn't just witness hip-hop history. He helped make it at every level. Gone too soon.

I used to play this Lord Sear 12” out frequently back in the day. Coincidentally the last record I bought has a Sear skit on it.
