@c50391904 @LargeFamDad I loved getting my glasses (-10) snapped in half at school, learned a lot about people when the teachers continually watched and did nothing.

@LargeFamDad Public school helps for the social aspect which homeschooling can’t match. Test scores are also largely about resources and inherent intelligence.

My homeschooled son just finished "9th grade", whatever that is. He recently took a standardized test and scored in the 96th percentile, or a grade equivalent of 13+ across the board. He has spent less than 2 hrs / day learning for the last 10 years. Public school is a scam.

@TheRoyalSerf Everyone is saying food, but I think this is a case of binge drinking actually. I know many who went through it & they looked just like this. Also the transformation was pretty rapid, whereas binge eating weight gain is usually more linear
