@Romy_Holland Does libido match 1:1 with horniness though. Or is it also turned up and down by other hormones etc

i’m suspect of this bc i don’t think men’s libidos are higher at 40 than at 20, but if this chart is accurate it’s wild that libidos don’t match until men are ~75 and women are 20. maybe the age gap ppl are right.

Large (N=67k) research by Aavik et al finds average men’s sexual desire is substantially higher ;and more stable) than women’s throughout most of the adult life span—peak average ♀ sex drive (age 20-30) is lower than ♂ (<60) average levels: buff.ly/EEgkmNL

@LinkofSunshine It is a little silly that S&P surged to an all time high because of a situation that existed for like 2 months might be getting resolved while the country is certainly in a worse financial situation than before but who cares

@PatrickTapLaine I'll never understand how conserving our pristine lands is "liberal". It's a common sense issue.

@PatrickTapLaine You might chose to investigate the facts or respond to ragebait. It's not a national or state park. The proposed mine is 12 miles outside the BWCA, but in the Superior National Forest.

@ShitpostRock2 Wizards are basically retarded because they've never had to actually do much of anything Ruling class? They have no concept of logistics or even basic physics

@ExpatAftermath Definitely depends. Probably lower overall. I will say I can imagine our COO's eyes glazing over if you tried to explain some sort of internet drama to him as the reason you can't hire someone

@DunkDawk Probably not as bad as 2018, but realistically, what are a man's chances of getting hired/retained by your average Fortune 500 company or local, state or federal government agency, once they know he's "Howling Mutant"?

It also glides over the fact that a lot of these guys are now presumably unemployable, at least with a large swath of companies and presumably any government agency. Oh, but they're "handsome" and "normal" IRL, ok!
Auðmundr@Audmund

I feel bad for howling mutant's doxx, but i feel disgusted about this meme and it really needs to die. Legions of RWers have been constantly banned in the last three months, but leftists doxxers are free to post about anybody with no automod coming after them.

Cher Ami, a homing pigeon during WW1 was awarded the French Croix de Guerre with palm for his Heroic service during the Battle of Verdun. He was shot in the leg and breast by enemy fire during his mission. He made it back to the loft and saved the lives of 194 men from the “Lost Battalion”

Why do seniors have to pay for car insurance on a car that is paid off? If it's paid off, it should be paid off. Make their neighbors cover the cost of their insurance!

@Donster2112 @neilblock @jmhorp Yeah I would think older car + health emergencies behind the wheel. More likely to live somewhere with pedestrians? Worsening Eyesight and reaction speed are a given. Plus its per million miles driven. Elderly people dont drive as much but when they do...

@neilblock @DunkDawk @jmhorp That spike in fatal crashes is interesting. My 90 year grandma used to drive an old all American beast of car with an all metal body.

@MGecko117 The physical layer of aeronautics has not improved much over the last half a century or more. We have better materials, propellants, computing and so on, but nothing in the trend points to a possibility of a "space breakout" occurring. Quite the opposite, the gap is growing wider

It’s kind of disappointing to hear this type of pessimistic sentiment about space travel from an artist whose work has been extremely inspiring and influential to me for such a long time. Our species is about 300,000 years old. We’ve only had agriculture for around 12,000 years, powered flight for 122 years, modern rockets for 100 years, and semiconductors since 1947—only 79 years. That’s roughly 0.02% of our species’ history Nearly everything we think of as “modern civilization” has happened in this tiny fraction of our existence, so saying “we’ve existed for 100,000 years without becoming a spacefaring civilization” is, frankly, an absurd argument

I'm not even talking about extinction. It might just never become a major cultural value; its extremely expensive and space is almost all immediately lethal to humans. We have existed in various societies for over 100,000 years without becoming a space-faring civilization.
