@SanyuktaD11976 @sidhant The sanctions and blockade are unilateral and illegal. There is no UN approval. Ships are stuck for months inside the gulf. The US is unable to force Iran to stand down in the Hormuz straits. Striking merchant ships instead is completely Illegal & sets bad precedent for others.

@turiyatman Not just Norway. Even in a country like Thailand, Indian corporate executives have told me their Thai bosses have ticked them off for working beyond office hours and not having ‘weekend plans’ like everyone else.

15 years ago, I moved to Norway 🇳🇴... carrying my Indian work ethic - weekend work, skipped lunches, late evenings, and pushing myself even when I was not well.
Then one day, during my early days in Norway, my boss called me in. I thought I was going to be praised.
You replied to my email on Saturday. And you cancelled your vacation to deliver a project without telling me. I know you meant well, but that is not okay.
Vacation is mandatory. You never skip it. Your juniors are watching you. If they see this, they will think this is what dedication means.
I got scolded… for working too much.
I sat there confused. In India, this might have earned me a “highly dedicated” remark. Here, it was a problem.
That day broke something in me.
It made me see the hustle, the anxiety, and the need to keep grinding all the time - and for the first time, I broke in tears for everything it had quietly cost me.

Missile strike by US Navy is illegal & immoral setting a wrong precedent for others to follow. It leaves US Navy reputation in tatters by striking an unarmed merchantman & US claims as guarantor of Freedom of Season hollow. Funny, IMO is pussyfooting in naming and shaming USA.

International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez strongly condemns the attack on tanker MT SETTEBELLO near the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Oman. In an official statement released by IMO, he said: "I strongly condemn any act from any party that endangers the lives of seafarers and the safety of international shipping. This is simply unacceptable. My thoughts are with the families of the three missing seafarers and with all those awaiting news of the crew members." The vessel, sailing under the Palau flag, was hit by a projectile strike resulting in fire. Notably, the ship had 24 Indian crew members onboard. While 21 Indians have been rescued, 3 remain missing.
