Day 1 vs. Day 3,652 @tesla - Celebrating my 10 year anniversary at Tesla today! After a decade at Tesla, I feel incredibly honored for all of the achievements our company has completed including an estimated 7,516,772 vehicles delivered during my tenure. Looking back, it has been beyond challenging while being one of the most rewarding companies I have ever worked for. The non stop commitment to changing the world to be a better place by transitioning the world to sustainable energy (abundance) is driven by the most talented, driven individuals that solve the toughest problems most others would never ever touch. We are encouraged to fail fast, learn from it, and implement improvements and solve the problem. Every day feels like a new day, it never feels the same and this is what makes working for Tesla so exciting. I started at the ground level as an owner advisor in our location in Walnut Creek CA. Now, I am fortunate to work on North America Sales Operations overseeing US, Canada, and Latin America including Signage, Business Generation and many other projects I cannot speak about....wink wink. I am so thankful to my wife for all of her support over all of these years, I would be lying if I didn't almost give up many times but she kept me grounded and gave me confidence to continue going and to look at all of the positives vs. negatives @LatorresPack Thank you to @elonmusk for being a visionary leader! Your inspiring drive has fueled my decade-long journey at Tesla, and I'm grateful for your unmatched innovation Thank you to @troyrjones for recruiting me from the watch industry. You are an absolute inspiration and I have looked up to you since day 1. I also want to thank all of the amazing teams I have worked with and all leadership that has supported my growth in Tesla, I could never have done this without you. Here are our key accomplishments over the last decade: • Model X Launch (September 2015) : Introduced Tesla’s first SUV with Falcon Wing doors, expanding into the luxury SUV market. • Powerwall and Powerpack Debut (April 2015) : Launched home and business energy storage, strengthening Tesla’s clean energy mission. • Model 3 Deliveries Begin (July 2017) : Mass-market sedan became Tesla’s best-seller, driving EV adoption worldwide. • Gigafactory Shanghai Opens (2019) : First fully-owned foreign factory in China, started Model 3 production in December 2019. • Model Y Launch (March 2020) : Model Y became the world’s best-selling vehicle (all categories) in 2023. • Gigafactory Texas Starts (2022) : Began Model Y production in April 2022, later added Cybertruck, hitting 400,000 units by 2025. • Gigafactory Berlin Operational (2022) : Model Y production started in March 2022, boosting Tesla’s European presence. •T esla Semi Deliveries (December 2022) : Class 8 electric truck delivered to PepsiCo, marking entry into heavy-duty transport. • Cybertruck Deliveries (November 2023) : Electric pickup with HFS stainless-steel design, sold ~38,965 units in 2024. (I was delivery #27 in the world) • Model Y Global Dominance (2023) : Top-selling vehicle worldwide, with ~372,613 units sold in the U.S. in 2024. • Supercharger Network Expansion : Grew to 7,121 stations across 52 countries by March 2025, adding ~3,870 since 2022. • Megapack Introduction (2019) : Large-scale energy storage deployed 31.4 GWh in 2024, powering grid projects. • 4680 Battery Cells (2022) : In-house cells improved range and costs for Model Y and Cybertruck. • Model S Plaid Refresh (2021) : Updated with 405-mile range and 0–60 mph in 1.99 seconds, redefining performance EVs. • Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta (2022) : Advanced autonomy software, expanded to Cybertruck by 2025. • Model 3 Refresh (2024) : Updated design and performance, maintaining its status as a top EV. • Model Y Refresh (2025) : Facelifted with 320-mile range, deliveries started in Q1 2025. • Market Cap Peak (2024) : Reached $1.3 trillion, cementing Tesla as a leading global automaker. • Energy Storage Growth : Tesla’s energy division hit $13.024 billion in revenue in 2024, driven by Powerwall and Megapack. Total Vehicles Delivered (April 15, 2015–April 15, 2025) : Approximately 7,515,973- This includes ~7,179,292 from 2015–2024 (full years) plus 336,681 from Q1 2025, based on Tesla’s reported figures. *My opinions are my own.

We – design the chips & hardware – make the cars w/ said hardware – collect real-world data at scale – train the real-world AI model – built (& continue to expand) the massive supercomputer cluster that trains it – deploy AI directly to millions of robots on wheels All that is shared with @Tesla_Optimus for broader applications in both the physical & digital world

I estimate that Tesla self-driving has already prevented more than 100 fatalities and well over 3,000 crashes.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

Tesla FSD is nothing short of magic. Just rented a Cybertruck, picked it up at the airport and it drove us directly to the Airbnb. None of the stress of a new city, new roads, new car. Had it for 5 days and never drove myself. It drove perfectly. So easy and liberating

Elon Musk confirmed via Telemetry Data that the woman driving the Cybertruck in this video disengaged the system four seconds before the crash. She was manually driving throughout this entire video. Don't believe everything you see/hear from Legacy Media about Tesla.

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."

Well I was wrong & I’m not over the Model S Plaid. On paper this may not make sense, but some cars just hold an emotional intangibles. I’ve taken some crap from folks both for & against the @Tesla Model S Plaid earlier post. Sometimes there are cars that just hold our imagination or are special to us that current generations are better in many areas then the cars of our past, but the nostalgia & feeling that those earlier cars gave us can’t be eclipsed. So on reflection and more test drives than I care to admit I’ve come to the conclusion the MS Plaid as an entire package is still a really compelling car with everything it still does well. So tomorrow I pick up the last & best version of the Plaid as it’s still something special & I decided I want one as part of my life. Maybe Tesla will change paths & bring a new one back someday, but if they don’t then at least I get to still be able to experience the car that was so integral in helping me fall love EVs for many years to come. ✌🏼
Michael Rauch@Michael_L_Rauch

“You can’t go home again” Yesterday I test drove a Model S Plaid. The Model S was the first electric car that shocked & convinced me that EVs could be better than their ICE competition. Then the Plaid came out, mind blown. 🤯 I absolutely loved my ‘22 MS Plaid. I had hoped that Tesla would do a real update of the MS Plaid instead of the “light refresh” last year. Then last week came the announcement that MS & MX would sunset this year & it was the end of the line. 😢 Many of us were sad & disappointed leading us to pour one out for what was a revolutionary car that many of us dearly loved. My thought in driving the latest was to add a last year model as a long term keeper for nostalgia & knowing it was now or never so to speak. I have vented of my dislike for the new sports seats, mainly how the seat rail is too high & that you can’t get low like you should in a sports sedan. Also, as a taller driver it raised the seat position to the point that the roofline meeting the glass became an annoyance & unpleasant. Decided yesterday while I don’t love the seats after playing with and adjusting that I could live with it. Off on the test drive. Reminded of all the things I loved about the MS Plaid: the acceleration, the quick lane changes & the feeling of teleporting to where ever you want to be. The amazing sound system blasting brought back lots of memories. Then I was taken with some of the new things. The better build quality, less sounds of things that you shouldn’t hear like creaks or rattles. The new ambient light trim. How amazing FSD has become & remembering how awful it could be in a HW3 car not that long ago. On the return to Tesla I was sold & 100% convinced I was getting another one. Frost Blue exterior, White interior & 21” wheels. Heck I might even add track pack brakes as I never liked the old ones. Then I got into my Lucid Sapphire to drive home & immediately drove the J1 Porsche Taycan Turbo S after getting home as well. Essentially driving the three bad boy EV speed demons back to back to back. It became clear how old, dated & sadly tired the MS Plaid had become in comparison. It’s still a great car & should be remember fondly, but it’s time. The competition has not just met it, but blown past in terms of everything that makes a great EV sports sedan. Better suspension, power, handling, ride comfort, NVH, interior luxury, range & charging speed. So I think I’m over the MS Plaid, but will remember how much I loved it, cherished it & dearly wish Tesla would have decided to really update the car bringing their A-game to go past the competition. Sadly not to be & as I said at the beginning sometimes “you can’t go home again”. ✌🏼

You should really rotate them every 5k miles no matter what. This helps with even tire wear and also helps prevent unwanted tire cupping. Also by not rotating your tires you are cutting the life of the tire in half. It’s a lot harder to see tire wear and the way they wear on all terrains

It’s that time for new tires on Cybertruck. The stock Goodyears were worn out at 18k miles (again) and that was with 2 rotations so decided to go with the Pirellis this time. Will see how these do in comparison. Would be nice to get at least 20k miles on a set.
