I f*cked up by not completely loading up on #BTC when it was sub $20K. Seeing #BTC make 5% daily gains doesn't help either. I want to jump in, but am scared it pumped too much already. Anyone else in the same boat? ๐Ÿ˜…

Quick story on raising your Lifeโ€™s Floor Back in the 2017 cycle, I had a close group of crypto friends. We were able to flip 6 figures to 7 figures. No, we werenโ€™t geniuses. You just had to be there to know how insane that cycle was. One of the guys, David, wanted to do something crazy. He was going to cash out his crypto, and buy a house in cash. Me and the rest of the guys couldnโ€™t believe it. Us: โ€œBro, this is like getting in early on Amazon and Googleโ€ And on top of that, interest rates were so low back then. He explained his reasoning. David once had a business that was successful. He kept re-investing money into it. Then the business died and he was left with nothing. After it was all said and done, he had to move back to his parentโ€™s home and start all over again. His biggest regret is he didnโ€™t take profits to permanently upgrade his life. โ€œRaising your Lifeโ€™s floorโ€ means improving your worse case scenario. So this time he wanted to cash out and buy a house. No matter what his worse case scenario was, heโ€™d be a homeowner. He wouldnโ€™t have to start over from scratch. What happened to me and my friends? The 2018 crash happened and we round tripped all of our earnings. David? Pretty sure his home has 4x in value at least, and heโ€™s still crushing it in Crypto. Hopefully, several of you will make some life changing gains. Itโ€™s tempting to want to immediately upgrade your lifestyle. Youโ€™ve had a chip on your shoulder your whole life. You want to buy the Rolex, the new car, and rent the new high rise. You want to show everyone youโ€™ve โ€œmade it.โ€ But the future is unpredictable - especially in Crypto. Your first order of business should be to find ways to permanently raise your floor. โ€ข This means paying off debt. โ€ข Buying assets such as a home, or funding your retirement. โ€ข Building a yearโ€™s worth of emergency funds. By doing this, youโ€™re giving an advantage to your future self. If you fail, youโ€™ve given yourself a nice cushion to fall on. Iโ€™ve seen way too many people in this space go from riches to ramen. Iโ€™ve had the supercars, and the watches. You feel the dopamine for a few days and then life returns back to normal. (think about the last time you bought a new phone or laptop) Nothing beats the feeling of financial security and the peace of mind that comes with it.

@Route2FI I just got back from spending 3 months in Colombia. The reason? Escape winter and Bachata Dancing. There is social dancing all over the world. You can network easily. Basically you can start a new life easily. I can't really remember images, so I enjoy vibes ๐Ÿ™ƒ

The markets are slow at the moment, so here's just some random thoughts about freedom, travel and solitude that I wrote on a flight a while back. Maybe someone likes to read this stuff, idk. I think for all of my life Iโ€™ve dreamt about being independent, working for myself, and just donโ€™t have a fixed schedule. To get out of the hamster wheel and not live a life like most of the people I saw around me. Almost 15 years ago I had this plan about living solely from odds betting. I created a user on over 60 different bookies to get a deposit bonus and to get the best possible odds at all times. I created a โ€œsystemโ€ that worked well with low stakes, but it was impossible to scale due to bookmaker limitations. Anyway, this kind of โ€œworkโ€ made me believe that there had to be an alternative path out there instead of working the classic 9-5. Freedom There are days when I just want to escape from everything, just leave my country and start all over again somewhere else. I donโ€™t know where this feeling is coming from, because I feel that I am happy and content with where I am. But there is something freeing about just going somewhere new, knowing no one, and just vibing. Itโ€™s not that Iโ€™m looking to get to know a lot of new people. I already have some quality friends. Actually, Iโ€™m perfectly fine with traveling alone, and most often thatโ€™s what I prefer. Because then I can meet people when I want to, and spend time in my own company the rest of the time. Maybe youโ€™ve heard about solitude, but if not, it means being alone (but in a positive tone). Itโ€™s not the same as lonely which is the uncomfortable state of being alone. Iโ€™ve pondered a lot of why I am this way. I mean, why do I prefer staying alone most of the time? Obviously, I am an introvert, but I donโ€™t have any trouble being in social settings. I think one reason is that I always have huge to-do lists with tasks I want to fulfill within a certain day. I am ambitious but in my own way. I have goals for all aspects of life. For health, wealth, lifestyle, travel, romance, etc. For a long time, I used to track it all through an old blog I had (before I started Twitter in 2019). Travel Anyway, traveling is something I really enjoy. I donโ€™t do anything special when Iโ€™m out traveling. I donโ€™t go and see tourist things anymore, maybe if itโ€™s a hidden gem without tourists. But maybe not even then do I have the interest of seeing these things. Thereโ€™s a quote that I like that goes something along the line of: โ€œA tourist sees what he has planned. A traveler sees what he seesโ€. I think itโ€™s beautiful because if you let life happen to you instead of planning everything you may be able to actually experience magical moments. Ask yourself this: how memorable was that visit to Coloseum in Rome when you had to stand 3 hours in line just to get in at the venue flooded with tourists with selfie sticks? How genuine did it feel? And that selfie you took with your gf where you can see tourists in the background? Magical, right? Instead, you could experience the most beautiful things if you avoid the tourist traps and go where the locals go. One of my best experiences is when I discovered Catella Santโ€™Elia outside of Bagheria (a small town next to Palermo). I had zero expectations, but it ended up being one of my best ever (picture below). Zero tourists, stunning view of the crystal clear sea, colorful buildings. Reminds me of Cinque Terre (just without the tourists). Another great memory is when I skipped shopping with my uncle at a vacation and instead ended up strolling in the streets by myself. I ended up meeting the most beautiful girl Iโ€™ve ever seen, and which I spent the next 24 hours with. It was as magical as โ€œBefore Sunriseโ€ if youโ€™ve ever seen that movie. I havenโ€™t seen her again as we live way too far from each other, but the experience is stored in my memory forever. Actually, I am okay with that. Some experiences arenโ€™t meant to last, but they can still be great. This post is just filled with random thoughts, and to be honest, I miss just writing freely without a certain agenda or with the pressure of coming to a conclusion (tbh, there is no pressure...but I somehow need to make stuff semi-relevant for my audience). Havenโ€™t posted this personally in a while and this is something that I want to get back to. After all, my point in searching for financial freedom in the first place was so I could just spend my days thinking, reading, and writing. As Nassim Taleb would call it: a Flรขneur As a side-note, definitely recommend people to read Taleb's Incerto-series (5 books). Will help you out in trading, game theory, and thinking in bets. Other books that might make you smarter about the market (some cliche titles, but they're good): -Market Wizards -Thinking Fast & Slow -The Art Of Thinking Clearly -Your Money And Your Brain -Why Smart People Make Big Money Mistakes -Psychology Of Money Since you're first here, mentioning my 5 fav books of all time too: 1. Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance 2. South Of The Border, West Of The Sun 3. Tao Te Ching 4. Walden 5. The Book Of Disquiet

3 years feels like forever when youโ€™re starting out. But looking back, itโ€™s hard to believe that 3 years ago I had no online presence. Now I have 135K across all platforms. When you play games with exponential returns, consistency compounds massively over time.

How do you pick a side-hustle you feel comfortable working on for years? ๐Ÿ‘€ I have a creative mind and many interests. It's tempting to dabble around. I'm pondering how to: Provide value at scale, be good at, and can do for years ๐Ÿค”

@joetalaga Dang, you're a real OG if you were knowing about it back in the day! Crypto does fix some real-world problems. It requires a ton more work to take on the bigger challenges. At the same time, people like jumping the gun and gambling on it as well. Human nature ๐Ÿ˜…

@SimplifyDeFi Same, but I go all the way back in knowing about it in its infancy and wondering if it would ever really take off. I know itโ€™s risk vs reward, but crypto is way too much like gambling to me. Shoot, even DOGE was surging again.

@SimplifyDeFi I look at it like this: I only spend what I can afford to lose. But, I DCAed as often as possible. I accumulated what I could and Iโ€™m grateful for what Iโ€™ve got. So I continue to DCA what I can afford, knowing Iโ€™ll feel the same way about this price in the future as I did $15k.

@FantomSonicX I recall a lot of people leaving $FTM and migrating to different chains. What catalysts do you think will be strong enough for those people to come back? Or perhaps entice new users? [Legit asking. Wanting to examine in an objective, non-biased way.]

Also, while I recognise that I can get heated at times when things don't go my way and I profoundly apologise for that to the community, I have worked hard to promote the Polkadot ecosystem! See the following interviews I have been invited to and a few others which weren't mentioned. KryptosChain is the only brand that has promoted #Polkadot to many other people outside of the bubble and will continue to do so with every opportunity either on their channel or they were guests on mine! If you want to see the #KryptosChain brand grow & help spread the Polkadot word in the process, all you have to do is vote Aye โœ…on Referendum 213! More Aye votes will help end this sooner, that means less pain for the people who are unhappy as well as they won't have to monitor it for extra days. Win-Win situation ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™ You can vote using @NovaWalletApp by the way straight from your mobile! See my tutorial on Nova: youtube.com/watch?v=t5oTVtโ€ฆ
