Interview with an arsonist twenty minutes before burning truck used to clean camps. @tarafaul503 and I were checking on our homeless friend Paul when a woman showed up and started saying strange things. Also on site was Rapid Response a company that cleans homeless camps.

I finally got so annoyed with ctrl+c randomly failing that I built a tool for it. It monitors the content of the clipboard, and highlights the active window when a change is detected. It acts as a visual confirmation that you properly copied stuff.

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned @stebets You should try the @v0 stack (React, Next.js, Vercel). I was able to rebuild a basic version of the site in about 20 minutes. I started by dropping in a screenshot of the site and then making a few follow-up prompts. Best part? It's built on accessible, themeable components.

In 2013, I built the front end of @haveibeenpwned on Bootstrap and jQuery. In 2025, @stebets and I are rebuilding it as part of a rebrand. What should we use? What are the front end tools that make web dev awesome today? (vanilla HTML, CSS and JS aside, of course)

Another big challenge I see in the alternative vote world is fragmentation, lots of argument between RCV, approval, scored vote, and more. These probably need to coalesce into one movement that can push for whatever change we can get. Big ask for statistics nerds but I have hope

I'm also going to push for more digital use of STAR voting, that both serves as small scale proof and gives people tangible experience.

I really think STAR voting can solve global problems. It's one of the only ways we can defeat the bipolarity of politics (and the two biggest opponents to human progress, the US democrat and republican parties)
