Atim, oh Atim (Death, thou hath cruel) A friend of mine lost her sister, and mehn, the toil it's taken on her is unwavering. I swung by their home yesterday after my daily hustle and hugged a trembling human, her hands shaky and sweaty. Grief, in an instant, visited their home.

@AustinBr_ian @AllanSseky @KasajjaAndrew3 @MrDriveUganda The Mazda is more comfortable, has better view (as far as blind spots is concerned), better sound quality and a more powerful engine. The Noah rides better, higher ground clearance and more fuel efficient. Stay away from the Mazda because of the power doors - problematic.

Prove me right or wrong, here in Uganda, no one goes to the bond to buy a mazda biante as a choice. Most of the people you see around driving it had dreams of driving the Toyota Noah but we're left out because of the pricing. @AllanSseky @KasajjaAndrew3 @MrDriveUganda

@imraanKG If this was sometime earlier this week, then it was a white 2003 Corolla (could be a separate incident). I witnessed the chase.

One day at midnight a white Subaru bypassed us as we parked at Kabalagala, it was being chased by bodas that he had knocked a boda guy who was surprisingly among the pursuants . They set the car on fire but the driver had escaped. Unbeknownst to them he was a police boss 1/2

@CanaryMugume The things happening to her aside; 1. The cars were simply handed back to the clerk, as is the case with the handover of her office. 2. The speaker and deputy have a designated parking area on the same floor (basement 2), that is shared by directors and MPs.

Some of you commenting supporting NBS are acting out of ignorance of the law (which is not a defense). Under the constitution, articles 96 and 77, the Parliament is dissolved on the date of the first sitting of the previous parliament. In our case, the first sitting of 11th Parliament was on 24th May 2021. This means that AAA is still speaker till 24th May 2026, that’s why the first sitting of 12th Parliament is on 25th May 2026. The date is not by design but follows the constitution. So NBS may need a constitutional law counsel. AAA is still speaker and the 11th Parliament is not yet dissolved. Over

Where does NBS get the legal basis to call AAA former speaker? We haven’t elected a new speaker .

@MusaFadala So, here's the thing. Risk, issue and crisis management need to be managed before they escalate, in that order. This is a full blown crisis and very few war rooms will effectively manage it. PR101.

From a comms perspective, Chris Obore and Joseph Sabiiti have let down their boss badly. Ninye Tabz has owned the AAA narrative here for at least 18 hours straight. Instead of a full blown counter press, all we got is a wimper.

@lebojoycechauke Most modern cars now possess the anti-roll back or Hill Start Assist (HSA), the new Hiluxes and Drones, a good example.

Correction: In Uganda, parts for a Vanguard cost more than those of a RAV4. Those two cars are totally different.
ebrah · PHP@AutoTrendzUg

The Vanguard first. Nobody recommended it because it is a Toyota RAV4. Literally. Toyota sold the exact same car under the Vanguard name for the Japanese domestic market between 2005 and 2013. Same chassis, same 2AZ or 2GR engine options, same reliability, same parts availability. If someone told you to buy a RAV4 or a Harrier, they were already in Vanguard territory without saying the name. The recommendation was there, just wearing a different badge. The Forester is a more honest omission and here is why. The Subaru Forester is a genuinely excellent car for Uganda. AWD that actually works the way AWD should. A boxer engine that sits low in the chassis for better weight distribution. Good ground clearance. Spacious interior. Practical. The car is well suited to these roads in ways most sedans are not. But Subaru ownership in Uganda comes with a specific tax that most buyers discover too late. The boxer engine, which is what makes the car special, is also what makes it expensive when something goes wrong. Head gaskets on older Subarus are a known issue. The engine layout means labour is more intensive than a conventional engine. And most general mechanics in this country will attempt a Subaru repair with confidence and deliver results that require a second opinion. There are good Subaru specialists in Kampala. A handful of them really understand the platform. But finding one before you buy the car is homework most people skip. So the real answer to your question is this. The Vanguard was being recommended all along, just called a RAV4. The Forester is a great car that nobody recommended because they didn’t want to explain the asterisk that comes with it. If you want the Forester, want it with open eyes. Find the right mechanic first. Then buy the car knowing what you’re signing up for. It rewards careful owners and punishes careless ones…

@AtukundaArnold If you are after fuel efficiency and have a small family or just yourself, go for the Rav4. Otherwise, the vanguard is better in every single area.

@AtukundaArnold This is not entirely good advice. I own an E46 touring with minimal regrets. Previously, I had an E36. They drove just fine. The parts are rare and a bit expensive now. Every car, in my opinion just needs you to take care of them. Older cars tend to look a lot better, too.

Your outback is thirstier than all the toyota hatches, including compacts and wagons like a harrier😂😂 There's no outback that's below 2.5L petrol!! The only 2.0-litre Subaru Outback that exists is specifically a turbo diesel. This outback is offered in Australia and European markets! Take caution before you buy that outback
