@YIMBYLAND I’ve got buddies with limbs missing. They need it.
The tinnitus hustle and all this other shit that takes benefits and funding away from people who are actually disabled...
It’s not a hot take at all man. Love our vets, but fraud in the system hurts those that need it most.

@JaredDHardin Let’s go!!!! Yeah, the issue we’re seeing is we’re getting awarded, but jobs are 3-4-6 months out, and phased. But pipeline is starting to fill for coming months. Just gotta keep grinding!!!

I quit my job in March to go all in on my business.
In April I sent out 264k in quotes and did 24k in revenue, all from inbound.
Of that 24k in revenue, 21k was just line striping and 3k was a big sweeping contract.
Normally I wouldn't be okay with converting only 10% of quoted revenue, but there was one abnormally large quote of 150k that heavily influenced that number.
Backing out that 150k leaves 114k in quotes sent, which is a 20% conversion based on 24k revenue.
I'm happy with this given the fact that B2B has a longer sales cycle.
I'm working a lot of hours and trying very hard to make sure my business survives so I can support my family.
I consider April a success.

@carrymonkey @jamesonhaslam Good everytime I had it when we would visit…
But I’m a tourist. 🤠

@datboydent @jamesonhaslam Such an overrated place. Never understood their hype.

The cool thing about a rotisserie chicken is you can make so much with it. Legs/wings are part of a meal. Breast can be used for another meal. Carcass can be used to make chicken stock for other meals. I’m absolutely for it being covered by SNAP. You’re an asshole if you’re not.
Jay Bee@TheRealJBx
Rotisserie Chickens will soon be able to be purchased with SNAP funds. Thoughts?

@NoRiskNoParty Too many roofs, not enough metal to go out of business.
English

Metal roofs are TOO good at their job.
After 10 years in roofing, not a single call to repair one.
They don't leak, don't fail, don't blow off, even in the nastiest storms.
Great for homeowners.
Terrible for business.
What happens when every house has a forever roof?
Would you invest in a business that puts itself out of business?
Let me know your thoughts.

@jamesonhaslam I don’t always buy crack, but when I do it’s from a little market in Cardiff…

@mypoliticalx I mean… you’re allowed to your opinion….
But broadcasting it is wild.

@realest49919420 Can we cram 75% of the hood into one district?
Sure.

So... word has gotten out that my sweet wife was bitten by a large copperhead last night.
When it happened, we rushed her to the ER. The staff at our local hospital were absolutely amazing. They were responsive, kind, very helpful, and overall fantastic.
Our biggest concern was the possibility of it not getting better and having to use the anti-venom, which carries its own risks, along with the potential for an extended stay.
Fortunately, things stabilized, her vitals were steady, and they sent us home. We're not out of the woods yet, though. She is in a lot of pain, probably more than I’ve ever seen her in.
We’re a busy family with a lot going on right now, but we truly cherish your prayers and are grateful for all the support, texts, calls, emails, and well wishes.
We love y’all. Keep praying. God bless.

today is the best and most important day of the year (thanks mom and dad for sticking two together)
I personally already have almost everything I could ever want in life: I live on the beach, i have the coolest job ever, i have 30 million twitter followers, i get to watch Mason Miller throw a baseball etc etc
but I DO have a birthday wish
I want you guys to read my favorite poem from Mr John Donne (basic, I know - very on brand)
/
“No Man Is An Island”
No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend’s
Or of thine own were:
Any man’s death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee
/
Anyways - do something nice for someone; we are all part of the same whole
🫶🏻 love you guys it’s going to be the best year ever 🫡

I was complaining today about a project that got postponed due to the weather. Then this happened. We got lucky. We're 15 minutes east and only had rain today.

The only thing rolling back at this Springfield Walmart in Missouri was everyone’s resale value. Video sent in from Haley.

@shawngorham Lowes has reached out with some incredible deals at times, end of quarter or year… has to be bulk though.

Roofers - get this...
I priced out a roofing material job at Home Depot - GAF, HDR reflective shingle. I have NEVER done this before at Depot... I always buy from the roofing supply houses
Home Depot $6,811.18
QXO $7,387.87
$500 difference, same exact order
Now Home Depot doesnt roof load so it will be interesting who use they to 3rd party deliver, fulfill the order. It might even be QXO
I was shocked Home Depot was cheaper
