🚨🇮🇷 - 🇵🇰🇸🇦 IRAN ATTACK ON KSA; A STAB IN THE BACK OF PAKISTAN AND KSA For ages, destabilizing Saudi Arabia has remained an enduring strategic objective of enemies of Islam; yet no actor had directly crossed that threshold and attacked holy land until now, when Iran has chosen to target Saudi Arabia’s economic infrastructure. KSA has never suffered an attack on its soil in recent history. The US has never attacked it neither has the Zionist State of Israel, however the Islamic Republic of Iran has now continuously attacked KSA for nearly a month. This latest attack by Iran on Saudi Arabia’s economic infrastructure, targeting critical energy and industrial facilities is also a grave violation of international norms. KSA has shown tremendous restraint the face of grave provocation but there is a limit to restraint and it cannot be one sided. After all the Government of KSA is answerable to its people for their security. The latest attack by Iran on the Jubail Petrochemical Complex has probably crossed the rubicon and no one can blame KSA if it now responds in self defence which is its religious, moral and legal right. It is absolutely clear that the defence of Harmain Sharefain starts from the borders of Saudi Arabia. Targeting the Jubail Complex is a direct attack on the economic centre of gravity of KSA which is aimed at weakening the financial viability of KSA which in turn is a direct threat to the security of the Holy Land and hence an attack on the Petrochemical complex is an attack on security viability of Mecca and Medina. Which Muslim, individually or collectively as a country, can accept or condone this? Another key aspect is the timing. This attack comes at a critical juncture in the ongoing mediatory efforts led by Pakistan which is neither desirable/ acceptable nor understandable. It appears an attempt to derail the entire peace process which is seriously detrimental not just to the peace efforts for the region and beyond but Iran itself. From day one it has been well understood that the Zt lobby and Israel want to prolong this war and pitch Muslim against Muslim whereas it has been Pakistan’s effort to prevent this from happening through the peace process. If this Zt design is clearly understood, then it begs the question as to why Iran attacked KSA at this critical juncture thus playing into the Zt plan; it is deliberate or incidental? This question is especially important as KSA has already given assurance of its airspace not being used against Iran and Prince Sultan Base being a logistical base. But this attack was even a logistical base rather the largest Petrochemical complex thus the heart of Saudi economic infrastructure. The situation must not be misconstrued as retaliation against the United States by targeting Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has not allowed its territory or bases to be used against Iran; any existing logistical arrangements predate the current conflict and are not linked to ongoing hostilities. By carrying out this strike, Iran has also undermined the credibility of the one honest broker; Pakistan as it was Pakistan who had advised and pleaded restraint and who had spent tremendous diplomatic capital to achieve a peace deal. This strike appears an attempt to not just derail the process but also hit Pakistan’s credibility and the big question is; WHY? Is the Iranian Government fully in control of the actions of all its military components? Pakistan and Pakistanis deep affinity with KSA is based on strong religious affinity and an obligation to defend the holy land of Hijaz. Pakistan has strongly condemned the unwarranted attack. What must be understood and remembered is that Pakistan has signed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia so it is now not just a religious obligation to defend KSA but also a moral and legal one.
