That’s a misnomer Sean. I don’t get $10k from the state. I get $3,600 per kid and if that same student went down the street they’d get more. It’s not even Steven like you claim. Bc they short us, we have to tax people. Give me $10k per & the local burden goes WAAAY down

@DrJimLloyd Jim, the public school gets well over $10k per student. Our voucher of 6k gets each kid paid for. So technically you save money when our kids go private.

Kids aren't soft. Every year HS coaches get thousands of kids to voluntarily run 60-80 miles per week in the heat of the summer. When kids care, when the work has meaning and purpose, they will go to the well. Pointless hard work on things that don't matter decreases motivation

Reaction to this has been strange...Chris has been clear that Citius isn't a Big J Journalism outlet—it's a platform for track fans. Getting paid by meets to distribute content is standard practice in the sport. Not judging whether that's right or wrong, just stating the reality.

“A few of our men's cross country runners have been suspended for violating team rules. The Iowa State men's cross country team is looking forward to competing at the Big 12 Championships this week. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Iowa State, which is currently ranked No. 1 in the latest USTFCCCA Coaches Poll, is set to race next at the Big 12 Championships on Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas this weekend.
