#BombaySappers in Action | #FloodRelief | #IndianArmy On 30 Jul 25, An Engr Regt swiftly deployed two teams across Shivpuri district, MP. In Badarwas, 18 civilians and later 10—including 3 unwell children—were rescued in daring ops after dark. In Anantpur, 35, including seniors and school kids stranded for 48 hrs, were evacuated. Total: 85 lives saved. Additional columns rushed to Guna & Ashok Nagar. Once again, the Indian Army leads with courage, compassion, and commitment. Bombay Sappers Lead the Way. 🔱

A formal ceremony aboard INS Magar at Vizag on March 14, 2005, further cemented this unique bond. Later after 36 illustrious years of service, INS Magar was decommissioned on May 6, 2023. He became the first Indian Officer to be appointed as the First Indian Commandant of Bombay Engineer Group and Centre, Khadki, on 7 Feb 1948, succeeding Col M R H Z Swinhoe, OBE. His leadership during a challenging post-partition period was marked by energy and resilience, as he navigated numerous difficulties while spearheading the post-war reconstruction of the Group.
