@eptwts thought you were against all this reading books stuff 👀x.com/eptwts/status/…

EP@eptwts
i think nowadays with access to LLM's & deep research agents, reading books is inefficient when it comes to acquiring info... you can get an agent to go through 1000's of books & extract the most applicable info to your specific case without having to waste hours reading if you do it for leisure then that's fine, but reading as a way to "acquire knowledge" is one big cope pushed by the self-improvement cult

@eptwts Read books like these.
They goes way beyond entrepreneurship, business, marketing, psychology or simply acquiring knowledge.
Don’t just read books that teach you how to perform a basic function but read books that enlarge the man capable of performing them all.

@eptwts 'And then you win' from George Kikvadze; really enjoyed reading that and gave me some good perspectives on building startups. Especially relevant now AI is even more advanced in the meantime
English

The Goal by Eliyahu Goldratt - THE foundation for how I think about systems and business. Masterfully written in a way that facilitates the understanding of theory of constraints
How to get rich by Felix Dennis - lit a fire under me during a low point and just punted me into momentum like nothing else, I can trace back the ripples of where I am now to that book. Almost like it woke up a dormant part of me
Psycho-Cybernetics by Maltz - very useful in and of itself, but beyond that it also led me to other relatively obscure ideas and concepts separated from the bullshit mainstream advice regarding identity, executive functioning and creative efforts

Deep Work by Cal Newport.
Probably the only book that permanently changed how I think about work. The idea of deep vs. shallow work has lived rent-free in my head ever since. Emails, meetings, and constant information consumption feel very different after reading it. Even more relevant in the AI era.
English

The obvious is the Bible.
But from earthly books, namely psychology, I'd say PsychoCybernetics. Really helped me mindset develop & how I allow my thoughts to control me.
From a business perspective, The $100M series by Hormozi. He can get hate but man those books are tactical & if you apply the information, I promise it will take your business to a new level
From a health perspective, Why We Sleep was sooo good. I always new sleep was important but hearing the data behind it rally changed my life.
