@BenMFreeman Judaism is a religion not an ethnicity. It is entirely elective unlike ethnicity. I can elect to become a Jew but I can't elect to become black. There are medical conditions (eg prostate cancer) where ethnicity influences risk. Your preferred God is less useful to doctors

I visited hospital today (I am totally fine), and when I checked in I was asked by the receptionist to choose my ethnicity. When I said I Jewish, she stuttered, seemed unsure and ushered me to choose from the list on the sign next to her window. With no option, I chose 6Z - other ethnic group . I usually have no problem choosing ‘other’, but Jews are officially listed as an ethnicity in Scotland (being included in the 2022 census) and the rest of the U.K. So, why aren’t we on these official lists ? @NHSScotland
