@BladeoftheS We have way of determining how much value you are creating in society and that’s money. living a lifestyle that doesn’t earn money feels like a massive waste of time, because you’re not doing anything of value. Making a lot of money feels really good intrinsically.

Many people struggle to understand why billionaires want more money But it's not about money, if they wanted money they would have stopped at $100-200m It's about control and power, they want to control everything and have power over everyone So they will never be rich enough

@j_fishback @phreakydev Would the hospitals stay open at a loss? I like the downpayment assistance but it depends on who gets it. Socialist wealth redistribution is all about who decides and who gets the money. If it’s the people I want, then yeah sure why not.

Would you rather spend $200 billion to bomb Iran or…? A: give every teacher in America a $62,500 bonus B: provide downpayment assistance for 20 million young families C: build 1,300 rural hospitals

Every woman I know who doesn’t have children desperately wants them but is terrified that if they choose the wrong man and it doesn’t work out they’ll be demonized as single mothers. They’re selecting very carefully and that’s not an easy or quick thing for men or women to do.

we have had a reversion of masculinity that should genuinely scare people good times made men weak, and now young men look around and the only idols they can model after are parodies of what mentally handicapped kids think masculinity is. they spent their youth watching WWE and cartoons and think that a man is a roided up clown who aspires to live in the jungle. we forgot how to pursue virtue the whole archetype of the intelligent, professional, principled man who builds things and protects people and their family got replaced by gym selfies and "alpha" podcasters selling supplements

@aip551 Nobody actually says the phrase boys being boys. Parents are generally WAY stricter with boys, in general just kind of treating them worse. Any parent will tell you they spend way more on daughters than sons for example

The reason men & women are having a hard time dating is because they’re not raised to be compatible. Parents raised girls to be severely independent but raised the boys to be overly dependent on the mother. Parents are so strict with the girls but lenient with the boys. You can't raise the boys to want feminine women but then raise the girls to be masculine. You can't raise a woman to want loyal men, when you let the boys do irresponsible things and brush it off as them "just being boys"

@tomfgoodwin LLM AI is actually almost at the end stage of its development. You are going to see very diminished returns in its improvement moving forward. It’s more or less about as good as it can get. no closer to solving the core problem of hallucination and not making any real progress.

I’m surely being stupid. But if AI is rather unconstrained by expertise or capacity or to some extent speed Why do we need to divide tasks or departments to 9 agents ( the marketing agent, the optimization agent etc ) to each do one thing. And then another agent to manage the swarm. Cant one agent just be doing it all you know. It seems very skeuomorphic. Will we have HR agents to make sure the agent agents are being looked after ? A office canteen manager agent to feed the agents ? Seems daft

There’s a conversation happening on TikTok where the girls are finally talking about how a lot of men aren’t actually attractive. Like you go to the grocery store and see a ton of stunning women, but men? You will remember how many months back you last saw a hot man.

@BTCBreadMan It was the right take 🤷 Heck, if merging your finances with a person you're marrying isn't an obvious no-brainer DO NOT marry that person cause at best that means they're horribly irresponsible with money - the #1 (or sometimes #2) source of all marital arguments.

When I got married 15 years ago the thought of not completely merging our finances did not even occur to me. It just seemed like an obvious no-brainer that married couples 100% share their financial situation.

@seaneddy @BTCBreadMan A huge % of the population doesn’t understand money, investing, anything about managing finances. They don’t even have an emergency fund. They are 100% better off not having access to $ and there’s no argument to be made against that.

@BTCBreadMan I think people feel like they’ll lose their independence. Good communication and trust in each other can overcome this. It really is better when you combine and work as a team.

@ImARussianBot2 @OtherSide61 @BTCBreadMan Everyone should have the same goal which is to use and invest money responsibly and wisely. If one person doesn’t have that as their goal, they shouldn’t be allowed to touch the $. They will make generation wealth disappear like it never existed. That is what dooms marriage.

No single image of Starfield better illustrates how toothless, gutless, lacking in grit and texture than this one does. I made the mistake of visiting Neon late in my playthrough, excited about the idea of visiting a sleazy Cyberpunk planet. What I found was a clown show. There is something hollow and sad about the entirety of Starfield's worldbuilding and lore, that I can't even bring myself to be mad about - I'm just disappointed. This doesn't feel like a universe comprised of competing factions and people, it feels like a bunch of empty mannequins shooting at each other over nothing. Everything feels so dumbed down and family friendly. All the edges filed off to make everything palatable and bland. It's sad.
