That they can't do "ANYTHING" that putting technology that others people use in buildings is "illegal"

Though sometimes you can get a stickler for the rules, most will recognise that applying them absolutely in all cases won’t work.

I followed @theolodian a few years ago - because I thought they were keen to generally decarbonise.
They are the only example I know of that couldn't come to an arrangement with my PV installer.
And had issues with several reputable heat pump installers too

Even on this thread, why would PV (generation) stop you from getting A2A (consumption)?
One mitigates the effect of the other.
And why, when they have neither, do they assert that those who have both need to evidence this?

A flight near Heathrow in the UK wouldn't divert to the US.
A flight from the US would almost exclusively contain people already cleared to be in US.
No idea which place would have a commercially scheduled flight over the US to the UK via Dallas or LA

Wow! No wonder some generators oppose market reform-they don’t understand the modern electricity system.
Folk may not get up at night to use the kettle but they’d love free EV driving & switch to cheap electric heating. Batteries will soak up the excess.

Seems to me a strategic error for a wind farm salesman to call into question the entire case for smart, flexible electricity systems. Not only is flexibility a priority for the UK SoS, NESO and CCC, it’s a fundamental part of the sales patter for the wind industry globally.

I had an amazing weekend producing 29 kWh on average every day and it's only March!!
If you are thinking of having solar, please don't get put off if you watch videos and think it's just for bigger homes or homes that will appreciate more in value!!
This worries me, some people might think it's not for them on that basis.
@OctopusEnergy are offering 0% finance and if you are in Suffolk and have a heat pump they are offering zero bills retrofit for some homes too!!

Adding solar PV would reduce the actual CO2 generated from gas driven electrical supply. Ripple would continue to benefit as well so your electrical supply would potentially be carbon negative rather than just neutral.

I'm in Warwick, same DNO as them. I have solar PV, I have a car charger, I have a house battery, I have an electric shower, I also have the 80amp fuse.

I assume that the 80amp DNO restriction is very localised though, not across the entire city!
Based on my locality HP are becoming more common, and that's just on units I can see from the street, my mate has his in the back, so you can't tell.
