@aripap @JeremyBloomHere @Pogue What if I don't say much around my phone but just type things that signal my purchase intentions and interests after submitting my age and gender after logging into various services?

Set your TiVo. I'm going to be on CBS Sunday Morning this weekend, talking to @Pogue on the key question of our times: Is my phone listening to me? Should be a fun segment.

@aripap Things are messy in this space right now and to your point about different platform strategies, I imagine we'll see a conflation of offerings where media businesses offer platform tools eventually and vice versa.

@This_Liss That’s a lot easier than setting up a video camera to trigger one of those tipping birds to hit the 1 key when it saw Claude ask for approval 😆

Every night before bed I set Claude to --dangerously-skip-permissions and attempt something ambitious. I explicitly tell it I'm going to sleep, so it knows it's on its own until it figures it out.

@bhalligan @jack @roelofbotha @blocks While fascinating and visionary, it begs lots of questions. I'm most curious how widely this model could apply. Non-bit based cos. Company size usefulness. Different sectors. Etc

NEW EPISODE: @jack & @roelofbotha unpack @blocks 40% staff cut and rebuilding the entire company as a mini-AGI. This isn’t “use AI to make people more productive.” It’s making the company itself the intelligence. If you’re a founder or operator wondering what work looks like in the next 5 years… this is the episode. The evolution looks like: • Manager mode = Pyramid 🔺 (command & control) • Founder mode = Flat ➖(founders decide fast) • Dorsey mode = Circle 🔵 w/ AI at the center, humans at the edge, and decisions flow from customer inputs → AI → humans steering it I’ve tried killing org charts before. Brutally hard. But we never had these tools. This is rewriting the CEO playbook for the AI era. Buckle up. 00:00 Existential Dread & Hope 02:56 AI Replaces Hierarchy 07:22 Block’s New Three Roles 26:47 Flattening the Company, Fast 35:23 Getting the Board to Buy-In, Fast 36:50 Building a Great Board 41:29 Founder CEO Lessons 48:18 Second Acts & Conviction 56:22 Timeless CEO Traits

@heyward_fox @bhalligan @jack @roelofbotha @blocks Disagree it’s extra steps. As the man explains, he's trying to flatten the org further and be in the driver's seat to decide on what to optimize for. Sounds like the idea here is too synthesize the info to get a broader truth to make those decisions

@bhalligan @jack @roelofbotha @blocks the circle model sounds clean on a podcast but the hard part is the same as it's always been. someone still has to decide what the AI optimises for and that's just leadership with extra steps.

Call me crazy, but picking a fight with the HoldCos - the same organizations whose employees are the ones in-platform using your product - seems like a bad idea. Especially when you have basically no competitive moat and a confusing/ complex pricing strategy.

There's a debate happening in the podcast world about the use of AI gen, synthetic voices. I predict this debate will be moot in 12-24 months as creators embrace the technology for both content and ads. And as long as the quality is high, listeners will be good with it.

@This_Liss "Our best ad delivered a 20.5x higher clickthrough rate than the human ads that ran in its place. That’s a banner ad performing as well as Instagram." 👀👏 If the open web doesn't devolve into an agents.txt network, this is how to get parity with the WGs

@RioLongacre Good take, aligned with most all of it. Though there’s likely to be weird behaviors within the adcp traded market which may or may not have an impact on the pure RTB market. 4 Ex, how soon till we have agentic resellers arbitraging between buyer & seller agents?

RTB may have defined #AdTech. But what happens when machines stop bidding, and start negotiating? In the latest Signal & Noise Article, I explore a provocative shift: AI agents may move advertising from real-time auctions to continuous, agent-to-agent dealmaking. If machines can reason, remember, and negotiate, the auction stops being destiny. The open exchange may become the place where leftover inventory clears, not where real value is allocated.
