@MattGross87 @waddlehouse17 I think if you watch the replay his footwork was pretty terrible getting into throwing position and just wasn’t able to get much on it. Blame the footwork, not so much the arm.

Roman Anthony's arm was way, way better last year compared to what we've seen on these first few plays of 2026. None of the possible reasons for this are good.

@HankSilverberg There are what 8-10 years left on this deal? With an AAV of like 7.5M, and 1 WAR averaging 8-9M, he has plenty of time to make this contract look good for Red Sox. You can argue it hasn’t worked in their favor yet, but certainly have not been burned yet

He spent most of last year in the minors and didn’t make the club this year.

Ending a game with a guy shoving the defending under the rim is beyond ridiculous. Extending the arm should have been an offensive foul. That’s an easy call.
