A little more detail. I marked 4 of the 5 largest extinction events. Crossing the purple line shown in the diagram resulted in extinction events throughout Earth's past. This is about 5C from where we are today. If we cross that threshold, the feedbacks might become overwhelming.

Every time something like this pops up we get a round from the libertarian fraction making the ‘if it requires labor of others it can’t be A Right’ point. Which, to be clear, I agree with!, but gets kind of old (and many just *will never* buy into) I think really what we need is a word different from ‘right’ to refer to such things. Okay, so health care isn’t/can’t be ‘a right’. But it’s still good! And we want everyone to have it! At least to some basic level. That would be good, right? We all agree? Maybe ‘social good’? Health care is a social good.

The actual, official 2024 Democratic Party platform accused Trump of "fecklessness and weakness" for failing to go to war with Iran during his first term. Kamala Harris labeled Iran the #1 enemy of the United States. In their 2024 debate, Harris repeatedly slammed Trump for being too soft on America's enemies and announced that she "will always give Israel the ability to defend itself, in particular as it relates to Iran and any threat that Iran and its proxies pose to Israel." There was no "plan" for avoiding this. Your people wanted this war as much as Trump and his handlers did. That's why they're doing nothing right now.

He brought back manufacturing jobs, he had job growth every single month of his presidency, unemployment was low, Black unemployment was at its lowest level in EVER IN HISTORY. Kamala Harris traveled across the world rebuilding our relationships with our allies, they all said she was amazing. She was the tie breaking vote for several big pieces of legislation. WE HAD IT ALL. And yall destroyed it, you have destroyed this country, it will take the rest of our lives to fix this. Capitalism is far more social than socialism ever was. Capitalism is built on voluntary interaction. Every transaction requires agreement, cooperation, and mutual benefit. You don’t get anything unless you offer value to someone else. It’s constant, peaceful coordination between individuals. Socialism replaces that with coercion. It doesn’t ask, it mandates. It doesn’t rely on agreement, it relies on enforcement. The ‘social’ part isn’t people working together, it’s people being forced into the same arrangement whether they agree or not. So one system runs on consent and cooperation. The other runs on compliance and control. That’s what real anti social behavior looks like.
