@FPLfrasier @Red_Devil167 I read this somewhere, and couldn't agree more. The CO92 (Giggs and Beckham aside) think United are great because of them, while a lot of the other United players think they're great because of United.
English

There was a time this used to be Gary Neville. He used to be Mr. Manchester United. United fans used to love him and rivals hated him.
Now the situation has completely changed. He behaves like an anti United person. United fans cannot even stand him.
I am confident that Bruno will never turn on us. He truly loves the club.

BRUNO PASSION! THIS IS MY CAPTAIN.
English

@Utdbeni My guy. If you are a united fan, you can move on from Amorim. By every metric he was the worst United manager in decades.
English

Last night, Israeli forces intercepted and boarded a humanitarian aid flotilla bound for Gaza in international waters off the coast of Greece — unlawfully detaining more than 175 people, including several New Yorkers.
My team has been in direct contact with State and Federal partners as we work to confirm the whereabouts and conditions of these New Yorkers.
This is a brazen violation of international law. Those detained must be released.

@JamesHoran76 @WhrfsdCynic1878 @Davros1736 City aren't irrelevant to us. Never have been. Your "success" however is. Most United fans would still rather you lot win the title over Liverpool, Arsenal and even maybe Chelsea. Every title marked with an asterisk.
English

@WhrfsdCynic1878 @Davros1736 A very effective wind-up.. will give you that one..
But ruined your "City are irrelevant to us" narrative...

@RedMarrow_ Again, I'm not the one that brought his name up. I found it laughable that in the incredible history of Manchester United football club, that the date 30th December 2025 is somehow anything more than an unimportant footnote.
English

The point of the post wasn't even to have a go at Amorim. It was about identifying the club's mistakes. The club had no plan to sack him & had he not lost his head he would have stayed the full season regardless of results. Mainoo would have gone, no CL, etc.
Most of the current situation is because Wilcox stumbled to the right solution instead of being proactive and forcing change. The Carrick situation for example. No one would have predicted Carrick to be this successful when he signed as interim. And as our DoF, these are things we must consider.
But for some weird reason, every time Amorim is mentioned, you get overly sensitive and jump to defend him. It's as if even hearing a negative thing about him hurts you personally. So who hasn't moved on from him?
English

30 December 2025: A very important day in the club's history
United drew 1-1 vs Wolves at home after reverting to a back 3 'to combat their specific 5-man defensive structure'
↓
Wilcox questions Amorim for reverting to a back 3 and sets CL qualification as the season target
↓
Amorim loses his head and has a row with Wilcox
↓
Falls out with Wilcox over the next 5 days
↓
Rants about being a manager and not a coach in the post-Leeds press conference
↓
Sacked
↓
Utd appoint Carrick who promptly starts playing common-sense football
↓
CL all but secured, Mainoo's future sorted, club in a much better position going into the summer.
All because Amorim lost his head after Wolves as United had no intention of changing managers midseason. There would have been no Mainoo and quite possibly no CL next season. Thank you, Amorim.

English

@RedMarrow_ I feel like you're the one that's a bit hung up on something that most of us have long moved past here...
English

@RedMarrow_ I'm not the one that posted about him. But the date leading up to his sacking being a "very important one in the history of the club" is laughable. You are aware which club you are talking about?
English

@JRad137 Wouldn't expect you to agree, Mr. Let's Give Amorim More Time 😂😂😂

bee 🍉 MOLLY DAY!!!@beereadingshelf
being called a sick cunt or a good cunt is the highest form of flattery in australia
English

@OdionHendrix @Lemonbriz We're talking about spending money to buy players that dwarfed what the rest of the league were paying. Mourinho was a big name manager that just won the Champions league. And also, the financial cheating that they've now only received a slap on the risk for.
English

@JRad137 @Lemonbriz How??
Drogba, lampard, robben, cech, gudjohnsen were largely uknown when they were bought.
Terry was home grown
Essien had only excelled in french lig.
Mikel was an Under 20 talent
Most of the marquee signings flopped. Crespo, shevy, etc
English

🚨🎙️ John Terry on Chelsea and Manchester United’s era of dominance
"Those battles against Manchester United between 2004 and 2011… mate, that was proper football. Walking out at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford knowing it wasn’t just a game — it was for the title, for everything. Sir Alex on one side, Mourinho on the other, two sets of players going to war. The intensity, the tackles, the atmosphere… you could feel the whole country watching. We’d go toe-to-toe with them week in, week out, and every point felt like a trophy.
I look at the Premier League now and it’s different. The money’s mad, the players are unbelievable athletes, but that raw edge, that real rivalry… it’s not the same. Back then it was blood and thunder, two giants fighting for supremacy. I miss those days. Proper leaders, proper battles, proper glory. That’s what made it special."

@JRad137 @JeremyVineOn5 So you're saying even wine tasters don't get drunk on the job? 🫠
English

@HabZ360 @JeremyVineOn5 Former wine waiter here. We aren't allowed to drink either. We taste wine. Spit it out more often than not. And what little has been consumed would rarely make up half a glass over a 12 hour shift.
English

People making comparisons with doctors and policy and pilots not being allowed to drink on the job but mate, NO job allows it. Waiter, call centre, bin man, literally ANY job bar wine tasters allow it.
And people pulling out the legalised drugs crap, alcohol is as bad as any class A drug and if people are against alcohol at eork, of course the same applies to any recreational drug 🤦🏾♂️
But we know the criticism isn't about that...
English

I worked in restaurants and bars (and as a sommelier) for the majority of my career. We weren't allowed to drink while on shift. Tell me, where would you be okay seeing the staff you're dealing with having a drink? So out of touch.

🚨Breaking news: MPs are human and sometimes have a drink. Classic clickbait farming 👎 MPs work long days for constituents, and yes, sometimes share a drink in the evening with colleagues. Last week I was scandalously spotted with… an alcohol-free pint or two between votes 😱 But sure, let’s talk about that instead of the Greens’ wacky policies. Trying to distract us, maybe? 🙄
