The local group on an Estate in Hammersmith forbrian.co @ForBrian runs various dementia inclusive activities. They facilitate access for local people lwd. Having fun in the moment is forefront.

@MichaelBooth73 @Innov_Dementia As we get older we lose function whether living with dementia. I can no longer skip from rock to rock down mountains. A part of me has NOT died, I enjoy other things

@Innov_Dementia That is not what the AD is saying. As the disease progresses, the brain dies, and so do our abilities. We live with dementia the best that we can, but we are dying from dementia as well. We can not hide this fact as well

We believe this is putting people with dementia in the realms of the already dead. Our work is about working with people so they can live, live and live again.

Empathy, standing in riders shoes has always been the most important impactful element of sud. rest of the course is filler. (tbh would ditch the ppt theory 1/2 adding more riding

@CHAIRRDRF @BCCletts @RoadPeace @ActionVZ @London_Cycling @FixedFun The question we'd ask is his view that FORS & VOSA have OK'd use of VR Headsets for HGV drivers, instead of having them come out on bikes! Apparently it's meant to give them the same feeling of vulnerability of being on 2 wheels in built up environment, from safety of classroom!

I tend to agree with @BCCletts . It also just seems to be part of a "I'm dangerous so get away from me!" mentality. But maybe that's just me. Any HGV safety specialists care to comment? @RoadPeace @ActionVZ @London_Cycling
