Regardless of what happens in Europe and the U.S., the world is moving to EVs.
There is nothing that western automakers can do to reverse this trend, and geopolitical risk in oil will only accelerate it.
Either get good at EVs, or wither away.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier.
Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

This is a repost, but in light of the widely circulating Fox News video of the Cybertruck crash, I’d like to remind everyone that FSD saves lives.

We cannot expect human beings, and even new drivers to have that responsibility. Once they feel comfortable under self driving, we all know they will be on their phones, or they will be doing something else and not paying attention. That’s why I insist FSD must be pocketed until it can be 100% responsible. We can’t take these chances, thank you for clarifying you have even experienced flooding. @UnprecentedPrez @TechOperator Bravo you have explained why Tesla has supervised FSD, the driver would need to intervene in these situations. I’ve personally driven over 600,000 miles in my life and never encountered a sink hole, a fallen tree, and experienced flooding maybe 1 or 2 times.

When I started working on UK energy in 2007, fossil fuels provided ~78% of electricity. Coal alone: 34%. Wind & solar: less than 2%.
Today: wind & solar 33%, fossil fuels 28%, coal 0%.
