A tank gun accidentally discharged during training at the Hijudai training area in Oita Prefecture, Japan. Three men were killed and one woman was injured. Personal Opinion: We still need the A-10. The 4++ & 5th gen aircraft are phenomenal. We also need a platform that can get in low, loiter, absorb significant damage from ground fire, and not just stay on station but remain actively in the fight. That's the A-10.
