My prediction: this won't have the effect the UK government hopes it will, many tech savvy kids will get around the ban, and the ones who don't will grow up with a worse understanding of how the world works and more importantly, how to stay safe online.

For the idiots in my mentions. We use all the parental controls available to us and also subscribe to the Qustodio app to monitor, restrict and limit how our kids use social media. It’s still not bulletproof so any additional support to PROTECT children is welcome.

I asked a lady i work with what % of all crime she thinks ethnic minorities commit in the UK and she said 77%. When i told her the real number she was shocked and even googled it. She said “you hardly ever see anything about white people though”

But what impresses me just as much is how good it is at explaining MY OWN CODE to me when working on Basecamp! Especially delicate JavaScript interactions with lots of subtle nuances. Real glimpses of AGI there.

A dev got so frustrated watching his AI agent write 500 lines for a 5-line problem that he built a fix. He called it Ponytail. Named after the guy every team has - long ponytail, oval glasses, been there longer than the version control. You show him fifty lines; he looks at them, says nothing, and replaces them with one. Now your agent does the same. Before writing anything, it looks for a reason not to. 80-94% less code. 47-77% cheaper. 3-6x faster. The best code is the code you never wrote.
