I must admit I’ve warmed up to the idea of Keaton Wagler the closer we get to the Draft. Still isn’t my first choice, but I wouldn’t be upset. Maybe it’s just because he’s not Nate Ament 😂

@NetsDaily I appreciate your optimism, but most scouts and draftniks say there are ~27 NBA players in this draft due to NIL, and the dropoff afterward is sharp.

I’m excited. They have top 6 pick in a deep, generational draft. Their 33rd pick should equate to a late first in a normal draft. They have more total picks, more firsts, more tradeable firsts, more first swaps, more seconds than anyone and as much as $50M In cap space.

And that matters because? You guys haven’t seen anything but maybe a couple of games and some highlights of each prospect. Nets scouts have watched dozens of games live attended combined, interviewed each player, researched them, seen medical reports on them, debated how they fit

I find it hard to believe Jayden Quaintance makes it past New York (24 & 31 as a cheaper alternative to Mitchell Robinson) or Los Angeles (25 as a rim runner for Luka Doncic).

It's interesting that so many of the mocks have Acuff going to the Nets despite not much about how he's performed in their work outs.
Similarly, I haven't been able to track down any insights on how the Nets think about Wagler.

If Keaton Wagler is available- I would draft him over both. He's just more decorated as far as success, Brought his team to the NCAA Finals. Best Orating 130.2 greater than Dybansta, 2nd in the nation. 24+% usage rate high for a freshman. I don't think he'll be there by 6th

@nbanerdd I am equally excited but have a slightly different interpretation. I don't think he's a PG and I think he projects more as a 3rd scorer on a contending team.
But he adds so much value with everything else that I see a near All-Star player regardless.

People are so sleep on Brayden Burries & I have absolutely no clue at all 😭
I mean he has elite #s on a loaded squad & his game is just so smooth, efficient, & professional!
Not to mention great size, & one of the better defending guards in the draft
He’s a future 2nd scoring option, high level franchise PG in my eyes
