@Texrangernation The Tomahawk Chop belongs to FSU & Atlanta. And probably shouldn't belong to anyone. I was thrilled to see people being enthusiastic, but even as a guy who grew up a Braves fan & thought chop was cool when it arrived there in 1991, I think it's time to put it away out of respect

@LouisAnalysis I’m excited to see both teams at full strength. Say what you want about the process/rules/fairness of the decision. From a pure soccer perspective, now we get to see who the better team is. Would have been a shame for a player to not get that chance due to a bad call.

For my American followers with common sense. This specific article hasn’t been used since 1962. A presidential phone call between FIFA/US is intervening with disciplinary decisions. It’s wrong in every sense and damages the integrity of the sport. Furthermore, Balogun almost broke the players’ ankle. On accident or not, severity and intensity alone make it more than a deserved red card. You might think it’s about the player, but it’s not. It’s about the whole situation, the way it happened, and how it happened. It’s nothing against the player, or nation even. It’s blatant corruption, favouritism and a politics-influenced decision, that has nothing to do with football. Bring on Balogun, if he makes the difference, we didn’t deserve to go through anyway. One player doesn’t change the outcome of a match. It’s not about the player. It’s about the sport. 🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪

I’m going to post the answer to this question for everyone. 1. I don’t know what SdL’s plans are. That’s obviously the job of others to figure that out. 2. I’d assume that whatever other transactional dominoes fall in the next few weeks could influence it. 3. And most importantly (and keep this in mind in case he doesn’t come here next year and for every other decision made this summer). I think it's completely reasonable for fans to be frustrated with his ability to be on the field given his price point..... 2 can be true. He can be our hero from 2023 and fans can be frustrated he can't stay on the field and produce...
