I honesty do not like both of them, and they both don’t like me, but the passive aggressive “I’m definitely not mad” tone of this is insufferable. “I’m not mad at all. I actually respect you. I’m just going to denigrate your character” Please be upfront, at the very least. This is detestable

@kellabyte He's right tho, Jarred wrote buggy code, which led to memory bugs and crashes then ported stuff to rust which made those bugs go away. Now alot of people think that Zig is not memory safe and it leads to memory bugs. Many people started attacking zig after the port.

@kellabyte The technical criticism is valid but the rest is just BS. Who cares what some disgruntled failed employees think of him? Clearly he is frustrated that the technical incompetence is being implicitly ”blamed” on Zig, which is fair but focus on that instead of attacking his person.

It’s so cringe. In all of it I hate the passive aggressiveness. The patronizing. The saying something fully judgy and attacking in one sentence then adding some kind of half disclaimer to try to frame it as not being attacking. I recently made a Zig compiler for the 6502 and feel embarrassed by all this.
