#CSN_Infra_Update CIDCO Bus Port Gets Green Nod, Construction to Begin Soon The proposed redevelopment of the CIDCO Bus Stand has received Environmental Clearance, the project now awaits final permissions from the Municipal Corporation before moving into the execution phase. Planned on a 32,825 sq.m. land parcel in the Town Centre of CIDCO, the project envisions converting the existing depot into a state-of-the-art Bus Port, integrating modern passenger facilities with a vibrant commercial ecosystem. With a total built-up area of over 97,000 sq.m. and an estimated investment of ₹120 crore, the project is being developed by MSRTC under a Public-Private Partnership model. Designed to handle nearly 34,000 passengers daily, the Bus Port will accommodate around 597 bus arrivals and departures with 32 bus bays, significantly enhancing regional connectivity. The project also includes a strong commercial component with 193 shops and 136 office spaces, creating a dynamic urban hub that will drive economic activity and employment generation. The proposed infrastructure incorporates modern passenger amenities, a dedicated maintenance workshop, fuel station, and staff facilities.
