What have the British ever done for us? A 77 year-old British monarch is receiving a raptuous reception in the US. He's been mobbed at garden parties and received standing ovations from both houses of Congress. This is not just curiosity and intrigue. It's respect and recognition of Britain's importance and the stability of its monarchical system. And more broadly, it's recognition of all Britain has given the world. Not all perfect of course, but let's start with parliamentary democracy, common law, the English language, the industrial evolution, the laws of gravity and the theory of evolution, penicillin, computers and football, cricket, golf and tennis. Oh, and Shakespeare and The Beatles.

@None70219810 @HaroldWren22 Yeah - but thats normally the conversation you have with the aggressor state. Ukraine needs no incentive from the US to survive. The EU just approved €90 billion for Ukraine. And you’re is crying over $400 million whilst spending billions on a war that wasn’t needed in Iran

@Red_State_Rebel @lady_doi What has the US done for Europe recently. The US bases for the last 36 years have been mainly used for US ops outside the European continent so don’t include those in your answer. Alliances of today & tomorrow are forged by yesterdays actions Most recently Afghanistan & Iraq

@lady_doi What have they done for us lately! Alliances are about today and tomorrow, not yesterday. The UK Labor government is clearly adversarial. The British Monarch is not.

@Hiro_Protago @kennyob46 @AngliaJohnny @PeteHegseth @POTUS The US isn't going anywhere. Ramstein is a crucial comms relais station, as satellites alone are not reliable enough. It's also a key logistics hub. The US even put a big-ass deep sea cable all the way to Ramstein.

@kennyob46 @AngliaJohnny @PeteHegseth @POTUS Germany’s growing defence industry & plans for the military will soak it up. If you want to leave, go ahead. But leave quietly. No need for all this ‘if we leave the town dies…you end up speaking russian” bollocks. Leave and watch your global military projection shrink.

@smcroasters @VeryBrexitProbs Leasing nukes is a mugs game. If we do more than the agreed 10k miles per year we have to pay an additional £0.15 per mile. Robbery! Can’t wait til this 3-year nuke warhead lease is over.

MAGA thinks Europe can't defend itself without America. Here's what they don't know. 1. France and Britain have 515 nuclear warheads and 8 nuclear missile submarines. 2. European defence spending hit €481 billion this year. That's more than Russia and China spend combined. The EU's ReArm Europe plan is mobilising another €800 billion. 3. European countries have over 1.7 million active troops. Russia has 1.3 million. 4. EU and UK air forces fly over 1,400 combat aircraft. Their navies have five aircraft carriers, over 60 submarines, more than 120 frigates and destroyers. 5. Europe has over 6,000 artillery pieces and that's before the biggest rearmament wave since the Cold War. Poland alone is adding 212 new howitzers. 6. The British SAS invented modern special forces. The US copied them to build Delta Force. From France's Foreign Legion to Poland's GROM, Europe's elite units are among the deadliest on earth. 7. Europe already has joint military commands ready to fight. The UK leads a 10-nation rapid reaction force across Northern Europe and the Arctic. Finland alone can mobilise 900,000 trained reservists all prepared to fight in arctic conditions. 8. Europe has its own satellite navigation (Galileo), its own defence programme (75 active projects) and is building its own rapid deployment force. The "helpless Europe" story was never about defence. It was about keeping Europe dependent and buying American weapons, relying on American intelligence, following American foreign policy. Thanks to Trump, that now ends.

@CTS1630 @KKriegeBlog Rings true. Would the current operations be possible without the logistic support provided by the European bases?

@KKriegeBlog Battles are won by men. Wars are won by logistics. If you understand those facts you will be even more impressed by the US Military who are head and shoulders above the entire world for logistics.

America 250th. There's 1 thing I wish people knew about the Revolutionary War: the Brits didn't lose because they were slow and we had trees. They lost because they were a high speed, low drag, tactically-adaptable force, whose gov't asked them to do the impossible. 🧵 1/20

I am a British citizen, and I will always be immensely grateful, and loyal, to Britain. But if Argentina attacked the Falkland Islands (which is highly unlikely), I won't be fighting in this war. I have learned from the British government and the British public (polls prove this) that any war that takes place far away from our shores (the Falklands are 8000 miles away), is just "not our war", especially that, in over 10 years in Britain, I've never even met anyone with any connections to the Flaklands. Sorry, folks, but I shall be calling on both sides to "de-escalate" and "negotiate". You know, "war is never the solution" and all that shit. Might also organise a few "pro-peace" marches and wave an Argentinian flag. What do you reckon? P.S: I would never do this. Just want to demonstrate exactly how it feels to be stabbed in the back by people you expected would stand by you. On a serious note, there will come a time when the British government, military, and everyone who was ever involved in decision-making will learn that what goes around, comes around.

@HistoryDean @Khaledhzakariah You mean like the Prov IRA that killed civilians indiscriminately in Northern Ireland and the UK financially supported by NORAID and Sinn Fein given a political platform in the US when it was banned in the UK?

Add that imagine this: Instead of just coveting the Falklands, Argentina spent 47 years screaming, “Death to Britain!” and killed your citizens whence they could. Then when you act so Argentina can’t get a nuke to make good on killing you all, your ally doesn’t even just stay neutral but opposes you. I say this as someone who has this shirt and didn’t like Obama’s State Dept. referring to them as Las Malvinas.

@HistoryDean @Khaledhzakariah Imagine the British caring more about an island than the rape of their wives and daughters by Muslims. Argentina will Fuck them up and if they need help, that can grab their allies. They are much more important to America than Europe.

@Khaledhzakariah Don’t be a twat. UK stabbed nobody in the back. Without Ramstein & UK bases the USA would not have been able to conduct the Iranian operations. Europe was not consulted or informed of the operation so what did you expect? Trump wanted the glory with no help.

When the Argentine Navy lost a submarine in 2017, Britain rushed to assist - despite Buenos Aires’ nonsense claim to the Falklands. This fundamental decency is the difference between us and our adversaries (and their slop-posting supporters). news.sky.com/story/royal-na…
