Afroman (Joseph Foreman) is the defendant in a lawsuit filed by 7 Adams County, Ohio sheriff's deputies. In 2022, they raided his home on a drug warrant (found nothing, no charges). His security cams recorded it. He used the footage in a satirical "Lemon Pound Cake" music video that mocked the raid & went viral. Deputies claim defamation, false light, invasion of privacy, emotional distress, death threats & harm to their reputations from the mockery. Trial ongoing; this is day 2 testimony. Free speech defense from his side.

Afroman brought an Ohio police officer to tears during court testimony in a lawsuit filed by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office over his 2022 satirical music video. As the video played in court, the officer became emotional after Afroman mocked her.

@Miguelbierz @chamath True. But he should apologize for having had a dumb opinion with no factual backing about a buy-and-hold-forever investor.

If @chamath doesn’t apologize for spewing this nonsense about the most open and seemingly ethical investor of our time, he should get sued for slander. The most shady af investor, who screwed retail in tons of SPACS and then said “no crying in the casino” when people called him out for selling when he was publicly pumping the same stocks, is accusing Warren Buffet of being shady!
The All-In Podcast@theallinpod

Chamath explains Warren Buffett’s secret to success: “Markets thrive when there's information asymmetry” “Now I'm gonna get a lot of people really upset with me.” “This is an example of Warren Buffet's returns pre- and post-Reg FD. Now what do you see?” “His returns were double the market returns when this kind of information sharing was legal.” “And the minute that it became illegal and you had to act on the same edge as everybody else, his returns went to the market return. He generated zero alpha. In fact, he probably, on the margins, lost a little bit.” “So this is the single best investor in the world. This is what happens when you have information symmetry.” “So it's just meant to explain that markets thrive when there's asymmetry. Billions and billions of dollars will be made in asymmetry.” “The prediction markets today, unless they are regulated out of existence or shut down, will look like the stock market pre-Reg FD, and there's nothing we can do except choose not to bet it, because otherwise what you're going to have are a ton of sharps taking advantage of a ton of squares.”

This is the best explanation I have heard of how AI is impacting the software landscape. Not just the stocks, but the actual fundamentals of the businesses underneath From AI Czar David Sacks himself "You take a product like Salesforce that deals with all your customer contracts and revenue. You are not going to replace that with code that has been spit out of a coding assistant that has not been fully vetted Think about how many bug reports on Salesforce's code base over the last 25 years. Maybe millions of them. That system has been tested across thousands of large customers and enterprises The idea that you are just going to rip out that system and replace with code that has been probabilistically generated by an AI engine yesterday, with a small team to maintain it internally, just does not seem realistic to me"

@alexiskold @fred_pope The friction in building bespoke software is trending to zero. The friction in building tangible goods is trending higher. Cost of labor, cost of materials, the knowledge to manipulate atoms is a lot more scarce than the knowledge to manipulate bits.

Why would enterprises stop at just building their own software? After they finish vibe coding their own CRM, Databases, and re-implement TCP/IP to make it absolutely perfect for them, I think they should also build buildings, make their own security cameras, pens and rugs.

The rage over my $PLTR video was wild. I’m not short, I don’t own shares. My system just flashed the same sell signal that nailed the Bitcoin top: Monthly BX flipped dark red in premium territory. In the video I break down why I think this bounce is a trap

I’m sad to hear that the model S and model X will be discontinued, but it makes complete sense. I ordered my Tesla model S in 2011 and took delivery in early 2013. It was a rare vehicle even in Palo Alto and Mountain View at that time. I gave many test rides to my coworkers, helping me build conviction to accumulate $TSLA from 2013 onwards. I remember one guy in particular who was critical of the Model S, going from saying it was an “expensive golf cart”, to ordering a Tesla after I gave him a test drive. It was wild to see the “oh fuck” realization on people’s faces when the experienced the model S for thr first time. They went from critics to customers faster than I had seen anyone change their minds. The Model S was a spaceship. Up until now, the model S was arguably Tesla’s biggest step change product ever, literally pushing Tesla from zero to one as company. Tesla achieved its first profitable quarter in Q1 2013 from strong Model S sales. Consistent profitability was achieved seven years later in 2020 with the Model 3 and Model Y. Within a decade, very few people will even know that Tesla ever made the model S or X. Within two decades, most people won’t even remember/know that Tesla ever made human operated vehicles. The original roadster was the proof of concept. The model 3/Y were the people’s Teslas. The model S/X were the most iconic flagship Tesla vehicles. They drove critical early adoption and made Tesla a going concern. The Model 3/Y came to the rescue and made Tesla truly profitable. Every step change Tesla product rescues the company while simultaneously launching it to new heights. FSD and Optimus are next.
Warren Redlich - Chasing Dreams 🇺🇸@WR4NYGov

I predicted S and X would be discontinued. Still sad to see them go. I’m a bit surprised they’re building Optimus in Commiefornia.

@LionsofLaw @JaredSleeper wdym by not that complex? If bespoke crms were the solution, why do Google, Amazon, NVIDIA, Apple use Salesforce as a CRM? What do you know that they don't?

@OhItsTeddy @QualityInvest5 My model y is a robotaxi. I just press a button and it takes me wherever I want. The nice thing is that the market sees this and is pricing the stock accordingly. Very painful for anyone who missed the easiest long of 2025.

About a year ago a local software company bid me $100k - $150k to create custom manufacturing software for my wheelchair factory. Fast forward a year - they still aren't finished with the original scope of work - and now want an *additional* $100k because *they* went over budget. I've already paid $150k. What would you do in this situation?

See, the thing is, if you—as a law-abiding male—consider standing up and getting between this very aggressive, very large man (who obviously doesn’t consider himself bound by the social contract) and this poor woman, you have to first consider the following: (1) You’re almost certain to end up in a fight—with the very large man *and* his friends… (2) That fight could be even more asymmetrical given that you’ll be unarmed, and that a deadly weapon may very well be introduced into the situation by Mr. Antisocial (or his sidekicks)… and (3) Even if you prevail in that fight, @ManhattanDA might try to put you in prison.

@Jimbo_Jones_Jr Someone will end up holding the bag - the higher it goes the bigger the risk Retail investors tend to chase lower share values. At $180 this is starting to get too high to entice the retail crowd imo Retail investor brain thinks going from $2 to $4 is easier than $200 to $400
