Normalize consent, something you seem to struggle with the concept of since you seem to think its emotional abuse and are comparing it to ACTUAL emotional abuse.

You can 1000% use the silent treatment or cold shoulder to get what you want, which is emotional manipulation/abuse. Giving the silent treatment could just be an emotional response but it doesnt mean it cant be abusive.

They aren't getting their way by doing this, they're lashing out and being passive aggressive towards their environment.
