OpenClaw made Anthropic completely pivot Quite literally every single release the last month has been an answer to OpenClaw • Telegram messaging • Scheduled tasks • Remote sessions A 1 person led open project caused a 1/2 trillion $ company to completely change everything You have way more power as an individual than you think

bernie is clearly against automation replacing workers his worry is real, but he can't see the bigger problem that's coming let's say you save amazon jobs for now -- but once other companies use AI, robots, and automation to make things much cheaper, amazon loses its edge and those jobs disappear anyway.

Everyone says “AI will take all the jobs.” If that happens… how does this future actually work? No jobs → no income → no spending. So who buys things? Who pays rent? Who keeps the economy moving? What am I missing here?

i still don't understand the attachment people have to LLMs it is a computer, not a friend. for those who missed the older models in this way, it seems many are unhappy with openai's current direction i need a research assistant, so i don't care much about that

I just had the most wonderful conversation with @tommy_prusa3d from @Prusa. We have a strategy for addressing the issues with my #XL5T that will hopefully fix the problems. I am hopeful at this point.🙂 Thank you, Tommy!

@realAAAbbott All these people that say they can learn labor jobs in 30 minutes are the people that learned to code a couple years ago. 😂 What a freaking joke if they came to one of the jobs I ran they would lay down and quit after 30 seconds once they found out what they had to do.

There are no pure labor, ditch digger jobs anymore. You dig ditches and potholes with a Hydro vac truck or a small excavator. The idea that construction or field service people don’t have highly refined technical knowledge and experience Is just freaking insane. It’s equally insane to assume that you’re gonna teach somebody how to do this and to diagnose every problem in just a few short months. Takes a decade if you can find a 22-year-old kid who’s willing to do it and likes it. It’s like people think this is like 1920 or something. It’s so bananas.

@sparquah @NathanBuilds I do have one and I’m not sure I trust it. I’ve seen high readings when nothings on and low readings when things are printing. It was a pretty expensive one. I might buy another one just a test and then return it.

If you run a 3D printer you should have a CO2/VOC/Formaldehyde detector. This thing was red across the board after a night of printing. Opening a window for about 10 minutes dropped everything into the safe zone.

@oprydai Me thinks it’s an AI picture. A sewage pipe right by the electrical panel is a no go and the pipe penetration right on the window jam is also a violation. Doubt it’s real.

Europe and NATO are playing right into Trumps hand. He knew they wouldn’t join into the Iran war and is what he wants. Gives him a better reason to remove funding to NATO and Ukraine. It also shows their hand as they won’t do anything when he decides to take Cuba and Greenland. If you don’t think that’s gonna happen you haven’t been paying attention.

@BrianRoemmele Will that make sense? If robots are going to be in as much demand as everyone thinks that means that the parts will also be expensive and fit anything consequential will be extremely expensive.

The war in Iran has already cost $22.8 billion. For $22.8 billion, we could: • Provide Medicaid to 6.8 million kids • Build 2.6 million public housing units • Fund Head Start for 1.3 million • Hire 240,000 teachers • Cancel $20,000 in student debt for 1 million borrowers

Good friend was an electrician with his own business Can't currently find work, even working for somebody else, had to shut his shop down. 6 other electricians within 100 miles have gone out of business this year as well Tell me again how many we need?
Jason Shuman@JasonrShuman

The US needs 500,000 new electricians this decade. Apprenticeships take 5 years. Microsoft’s Brad Smith says it’s the #1 thing slowing data center expansion. The AI bottleneck isn’t chips. It’s the trades.

The bigger question here - and the real problem - is why does it take 5 years to become an electrician? You're seriously gonna tell me the smartest white collar workers (soon to be unemployed) are effectively prohibited from getting employed as a lucrative tradesperson during the final period where human employment even matters, because of regulations? It's insane. A smart person could turbo charge this in 6 months. The West needs fast-track trades programs.
