This is completely ridiculous. Functioning levels are the reason someone like me can even get an autism diagnosis in the first place. If it weren't for the understanding that some autistic people are much higher functioning, most of us would still be undiagnosed completely.

@Etanarachel Functioning levels are not accurate. Not ever. They are only used to deny supports to those deemed high-functioning (based on neurotypical perception) and to deny agency to those deemed low-functioning (based on neurotypical perception). It’s a disgusting suprematist mindset.

People haven't realized that Linux is a perfectly viable "out of the box" Windows alternative for everyday use because the Linux community is full of people that modify the fuck out of it for hyper-specific uses. Most of the frustration with Linux also comes from those people.
