@FischerKing64 The bar is so low for modern presidents after Nixon that GW Bush still ranks among the top by default (he was still a terrible POTUS). Trump is the best president since Nixon by orders of magnitude

"i defended trump after he tried destroying democracy. i defended trump after he became a convicted felon. i defended trump after it came out he raped countless women. but i won't defend trump after he attacked a barbarous enemy regime" you can't hate slopulists enough
Minnesota Populist 🇺🇲✝️@MN_Populist

I defended Trump after January 6th. I defended Trump after the midterms. I defended Trump after his convictions. I defended Trump after all of the hit pieces on him. But I can not and will not defend hurting working people at the gas pump for a war halfway across the globe.

$200 billion. That’s more than the annual budget for the VA. That’s more than the Dept of Ed, Dept of Ag, and Dept of Transportation (all national infrastructure projects), COMBINED. All for a war that didn’t exist 3 weeks, and after DoD gets almost $1 trillion a year.

the strange situation we're in: we sanction iranian oil, china doesn't care and buys it at a discount. iran is currently exporting crude to china, while other asian countries are in an energy crisis. so we're proposing to unsanction iranian oil so other countries can buy it
Annmarie Hordern@annmarie

BESSENT: US MAY UNSANCTION IRANAIN OIL THAT'S ON WATER BESSENT: WHEN WE UNSANCTION IRAN OIL, CAN GO TO EX-CHINA PLACES So we can see the regime selling oil legally at a much higher price?

While we're discussing wildlife overpasses, let's discuss why they're important: They prevent ~97% of wildlife collisions They singlehandedly save wildlife populations (and migration patterns) They can save our country $10B per year BUT...they (should) cost $5-15M, not $100M

@souljagoyteller We let in 4-8 million migrants for no reason during the Biden administration. That was more altruistic than anything Germany attempted.

The obvious asterisk to this article (which is interesting, tbf) is that the United States has never attempted an immigration policy as altruistic as Angela Merkel’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis
Alexander Kustov@akoustov

I have a piece @TheArgumentMag on why the US is so much better at immigration than Europe. As someone who's lived in and studied both, I've been thinking about it a lot. Anyone who opines on migration on either side would benefit from acknowledging the complete US superiority.
