If proportionate increase had taken place (39 x 543/850) TN would have got 61 seats, but they get 50 as per these bills. Hence its -11

@dstock_insights Looks like your insights are indeed very poor. While the table is shown at 816 seats, of which TN is shown to receive 59 seats, you are using an arbitrary number (the upper limit) to claim an even bigger share.

If 7.18% for Tamil Nadu is 39 out of 543, then 7.18% in 850 should be 61 seats for Tamil Nadu… 🤡 Where is the UT in equation?

My take: if the Modi govt is serious about women’s reservation ahead of 2029 GE , simple solution: just amend Article 334 A and go back to the 2010 bill formula that provided one third seats for women from existing 543 seats. Doesn’t need a link with census or delimitation. Can be done tomorrow morning!!🙏

Quite apart from the unjust manner in which delimitation is planned, the thought of another 300 freeloaders living off the taxpayer is quite disgusting. Does anyone seriously believe India's problems are because we have too few MPs?
