THE JURY:
Me, @s13k_, and I will ask some real game dev and AI people to jury again too
Sponsors and jury suggestions still very welcome, just DM me!
It will be interesting to see the difference in quality with last year, and the Vibe Jam can be kind of like a fun benchmark for AI coding seeing it close in on real commercial games I think

here is my simple checklist to make a good game (may or may not work)
- have absolute minimum friction to start playing. No sign up if not necessary, don’t ask for email, no connect wallet etc, just toss your user right into the game
- need very interesting and engaging gameplay footage. This is so you can make a good trailer and grab attention on X. If your game looks bad at first glance it’s over before it ever began
- think of the absolute minimum core game loop possible that is FUN. The bare MVP. As lean as it gets

Indeed.
One of the biggest issues with gaming has been the large barriers to entry when looking to build games.
Tons of time and capital were required in the past. Which also hurt innovation and experimentation.
This is changing.
Now coming up with new ideas to express will be the main aspect of creating games, vs. spending a ton of time just getting the thing built.
Experiences like @Moku_HQ are already showing how the first agents that many people interact with will be through entertaining games and applications.

@weretuna @addicteddotfun @Jaileddotfun There is a big opportunity still and tools for game dev are getting better and better

i just wasted 5 months building crypto games.
after shipping @addicteddotfun, we went straight into @Jaileddotfun and locked in. no christmas break, no new years, daily calls, building non-stop.
we built 2 completely different versions of the prison sim games. poured money into cool animations, bought a ton of assets, ran 4 audits total (2 audits per version).
then we finally played it.
it just wasn’t fun.
now everything we built is basically worthless.
back to zero.
that’s the brutal part about making games. you only find out if it’s fun after you’ve already spent the time and money. you can’t shortcut it.
crypto makes it even harder. once real money is involved, everything gets more fragile, more complex.
failure rate is probably 99.9%.
but one hit changes everything.
axie did.
and i still think this is one of the best times to build crypto games.
we’re now making a new cat breeding game.
if you’re also crazy enough to believe in crypto games, drop a comment. running a private playtest soon.

new paradigm of gaming is coming
i tweeted about this earlier - there's an arbitrage rn where people don't realize how much easier game dev got
if you're a seasoned dev especially, i highly recommend trying. do one 2d browser game then one 3d
you're gonna have giga fun

My 2 cents on Sunday.
You won’t believe me, but my quant just texted me this after a call with some high-grade insider.
He has very high confidence… so I tend to believe him.
Most of CT is completely missing the divergence in CVD (seller exhaustion) and the bullish OBV divergence on the daily.
So you already know what happens next...
That’s exactly why this formula has a high probability to play out.
Many people will wish they followed me sooner.
*I really hope you get this post🤡
Enjoy your Sunday - and have a good one next week.
