@Contagin918 It happens, but you have the right mindset. Forget the customer. If your team is happy and trained properly, the customer gets taken care of. If you focus on the customer, your team feels neglected and the customer gets neglected.

@0xdippo True. Still sucks. I try to invest in my team. Imo, my job is to take care of them, so they take care of the customers. But I have had several take advantage of my being understanding.

I don't get paid enough to fire people...freaking sucks. Other managers joke around about how many people they fired. I'm proud I have the least of all of us. I don't find impacting someone's livelihood a joking matter. Sorry, just venting so I don't take my work stress home

@Contagin918 Coach up or coach out. If they can’t correct behavior after addressing it, send them on their way. Somebody else wants that job more.

@0xdippo Agreed. That's the attitude of most of them. My manager before I promoted always did everything he could to take care of me. I have always prided myself to follow that example. But when someone won't show up on time or at all after multiple conversations there isn't much I can do
