Former Oilers GM Kevin Lowe let Chris Pronger have it on LinkedIn this afternoon. Lowe said what makes this even harder to reconcile is what followed immediately after. The day after the agreement, I received a personal note from his wife expressing how excited they both were about coming to Edmonton. That sentiment does not align with the version of events being portrayed now. Perhaps at the time he was trying to reset the narrative or distance himself from circulating rumours, but it stands in stark contrast to what is being shared today.

While the Liberals are out dancing in the streets, Stats Canada brings them back to reality. Carney promised homes, homes and more homes. Stats Canada released numbers that showed housing building permits sank 11.5% year to year in Feb. with a 6% drop in the residential sector. RBC says that home sales are lower than the worst seen during the Global Financial crisis. The worst is yet to come. You cannot blame this on Trump or Pierre P. It is failed Liberal policy.

People don’t see it yet maybe but this is actually perfect. The Liberals once operated with a reliable minority setup that gave them a comfortable buffer well beyond the 172 seat threshold. They could count on extra support from the NDP and Bloc Québécois to pass confidence votes with room to spare. That cushion is gone now. After by election wins and five floor crossings they sit at exactly 173 seats and call it a majority. In reality they have swapped that solid backing for a wobbly base built on trust in former Conservatives who crossed over just months ago. Those same MPs the Liberals once labeled shady opportunists now hold the power to bring the entire government crashing down. The other parties feel bitter and sidelined. They openly say the Liberals no longer need them so why help. On any confidence vote the NDP Bloc and Conservatives can unite against Carney while the ex Tory defectors decide at the last minute to flip back and vote their old way. Nothing stops them. No deal no leverage no safety net remains. The Liberals traded a safe surplus of votes for this fragile reliance on people they distrusted weeks earlier. If you are going to flip you might flop and right now the whole government rests on that very risk. Hilarious 😆

The Liberals @liberal_party now hold exactly 173 seats in the House of Commons, and this count delivers only the slimmest possible majority inside a chamber that contains 343 seats total. They require perfect discipline plus flawless attendance on every confidence vote just to stay alive in power. Two of those seats belong to former Conservative members who crossed the floor quite recently, and their loyalty looks questionable at best under real pressure. If those two members decide to vote against the government on any major confidence matter, while the full opposition bloc of 170 members stands completely united against the Liberals, then the result turns into immediate disaster for the ruling party. The government side would fall sharply to 171 votes in favor against 170 votes opposed, and that narrow defeat would force resignation followed by a general election that the Liberals desperately hope to avoid right now. Such a sudden collapse sits only two votes away on any critical bill that comes forward, and even a single illness or unexpected travel delay could shrink their numbers still further before handing the win straight to the opposition. Mark Carney along with his inner circle now faces constant pressure every single day, so they must watch every caucus member closely for the smallest hint of rebellion or doubt. The floor crossers in particular represent a permanent and dangerous vulnerability because their past Conservative ties make them easy targets for quiet outreach from the other side. Every upcoming vote now carries the real and immediate risk of sudden collapse, and the opposition already smells weakness so they will probe aggressively for exactly these cracks during upcoming sessions and debates. This slim majority rests on truly unstable ground instead of solid rock, which means the Liberals must now live with permanent high tension that never lets up. They scan their own ranks daily for any sign of wavering loyalty or hidden discontent, and two votes cast the wrong way at the wrong moment would send the entire government tumbling back to the polls in complete humiliation. The threat feels immediate and entirely plausible because the math leaves absolutely no room for error or any kind of forgiveness at all.

This is what happened on Kyle Busch's radio: Busch was dealing with a loose racecar and couldn't get in the corner with it. Eventually, crew chief Jim Pohlman became frustrated their adjustments weren't working. "What is the frickin' problem now? Is the thing sideways or is it plowing? What the fuck does it look like!?" Spotter Derek Kneeland said it still wasn't getting in the corner and Pohlman snapped again. "Why? I don't get it! We tighten it up and why can't it get in the fuckin' corner!?" "I don't know. I've got a headset on, not a helmet. I don't, I don't know." "We keep tightening it up and we keep going slower!" After Busch's spin and more discussion on how to make the car better, Kneeland spoke directly to Pohlman under caution and told him yelling at each other won't help and they need to keep it together. "You copy?" "Yeah, I copy. It's the same shit every week."
Dustin Albino@DustinAlbino

No fun on the No. 8 team radio right now. "I know you're frustrated. Us yelling at each other during the race isn't going to help. ... We're in this together" Derek Kneeland tells Jim Pohlman. "It's the same shit every week" Pohlman responds. Oof. #NASCAR

Trump: Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz, and they knowingly failed to do so. This caused anxiety, dislocation, and pain to many people and Countries throughout the World. They say they put mines in the water, even though all of their Navy, and most of their "mine droppers," have been completely blown up. They may have done so, but what ship owner would want to take the chance? There is great dishonor and permanent harm to the reputation of Iran, and what's left of their "Leaders," but we are beyond all of that. As they promised, they better begin the process of getting this INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY OPEN AND FAST! Every Law in the book is being violated by them. I have been fully debriefed by Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, on the meeting that took place in Islamabad through the kind and very competent leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan. They are very extraordinary men, and continuously thank me for saving 30 to 50 million lives in what would have been a horrendous War with India. I always appreciate hearing that — The amount of Humanity spoken of is incomprehensible. The meeting with Iran began early in the morning, and lasted throughout the night - Close to 20 hours. I could go into great detail, and talk about much that has been gotten but, there is only one thing that matters - IRAN IS UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS! In many ways, the points that were agreed to are better than us continuing our Military Operations to conclusion, but all of those points don't matter compared to allowing Nuclear Power to be in the hands of such volatile, difficult, unpredictable people. My three Representatives, as all of this time went by, became, not surprisingly, very friendly and respectful of Iran's Representatives, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Aragchi, and Ali Bagheri, but that doesn't matter because they were very unyielding as to the single most important issue and, as I have always said, right from the beginning, and many years ago, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!

Hector Resendez - Trade School Secrets
My friend Tanner is 34 years old. No college degree. Journeyman lineman for 8 years. Base salary: $140k. Last year he worked storm response in three states after back to back weather events. With overtime and hazard pay he cleared $290k in a single year. His house is paid off. His truck is paid off. He’s already funding his kids’ college accounts the ones he’s making sure will have options his guidance counselor never gave him. I asked him how he thinks about his career. He said he works hard and gets paid what hard work is actually worth. There are 45 million Americans carrying student loan debt right now averaging $37k per borrower. Many of them were told this was the only responsible path forward. Tanner was told the opposite and ignored it. I’m not saying college is wrong for everyone. I’m saying the data on what builds wealth in America is a lot more complicated than what we were sold at 17. Follow me if you want to keep seeing the full picture.
